STEEL & FAITH

Hey guys,

Vincent here, as Kenny is working on the new game play video, I'm gonna show you some pictures today.

Before I continue, I want to clarify the fact about the Art book. At the beginning of this campaign, the art book is not on our list...as the project goes on, I noticed the highly demand of the art book... It is a good suggestion because we spent lots of time on concept art and illustration. That's probably one of the reasons you backed us. However as a start-up company with our first board game, we try to focus on miniatures and the game itself rather than deliver a hardcover art book with hundreds of pages. I'd rather called it a journal with dozens of pages, which includes the concept arts for sure, and the spiritual journey we experienced that brings this project from dream to reality. That's the reason why it didn't end up in add ons, which I think could save you some money. The last thing you need to worry about is the increase of postage, the art book itself won't heavier than the Gouge :P

Here comes the update. As you may know, we already made some steel molds and received some of the testing PVC samples from the manufacture.

The bases and weapons are made of ABS, the following pictures show what a steel mold looks like.

The bodies are made of PVC, most of the hero characters will be split into pieces to achieve the best details.

The following picture shows the comparison between resin and PVC models. The one on the left is resin and the other one on the right is PVC. As you can see, the detail already holds very well, even with improvements still being done to the mold.

We are about to reach 1800 backers, I know there is decline/halt at this point, but I guess that's pretty normal, even for big companies, we have faith in our game and I hope you have faith in us as well, the Wrath is watching :P

I don't know what plastic material or techniques Archon Studios use but they are some of the best cast figures I have received and easily rival anything moulded in resin.

@shadow literally the first line of the update says they're working on a new gameplay video.

I'd certainly be up for more miniatures at a normal gaming scale in resin.

Will there be more resin add on options or will there be any option in the store for the minis in resin later on?

Enzo, how much do you think you would save on cardboard?)

Any chance to have an add-on option for just the miniatures? I would love to paint them and have them on the shelf separate from the game itself and even use them for D&D or Pathfinder.

@Igor - not at all! It all depends on what you are molding. Harder plastics hold better detail, but are more 'crisp" and therefore organic portions look worse than with softer plastic. That means things like flesh really do show up great in soft plastic.

Make sure to add this photos to the main page, so everyone would see, not so sure about unassembled minis, a lot of people would get upset (i would love to get them separetly, but most people want to just open and play). And please-please-please go wild with advertising)

Especially considering many of us are into miniatures, is there any possible option for these to be delivered unassembled and unbased?

Fantastic update, it was obvious the art book would only be small if you were just going to give it away for free and all the information to satisfy me about the quality of the miniatures is already out there. But hopefully this will satisfy those who were worried. The miniatures are looking great, can't wait to get painting these!

is it wrong to think that the Pvc ones look better than the resin ones?
