So what's the story?
"Love is Dead" is a short film about the longing for love…and a little respect. It takes place in a small convenience store with the beginnings of a cataclysmic epidemic just outside. Our main character, the sole attending employee, finally meets his dream girl on the night that everything changes…
Here's the plan...
Our goal is to shoot in the fall of 2012 in our hometown of Spokane, WA. We are currently in pre-production and have finished the 3rd draft of the script, scouted locations, secured props and some wardrobe, and lined up some music from local artists for the soundtrack. We had a great time making the teaser trailer and everyone who helped is anxious to come back for the actual film production.
We'd love your support...
Even though we've rounded up a small crew of pros to volunteer their time (makeup artists, grips, audio techs, assistants, continuity and script supervisors, wardrobe and props, etc.) we're still going to need money for things like:
- Equipment (camera, lenses, lights, grip, etc)
- On-location security
- Production design
- Makeup, props, and costumes
- Craft services (people gotta eat)
Please support us by helping to fund our film!
So what happens if we exceed our funding goal?
First, we'll freak out. Then we'll use the extra funding to pay for things above and beyond the production like:
- Festival entry fees
- Post production costs
- Website hosting and domain fees
Why are we doing this?
This really is about 3 close friends wanting to do something special with the skills that we've been honing for years. It's also about what we say when people ask us why we would want to undertake something that will require so much of our free time and a slim chance of any personal monetary gain.
Our answer..."Why not?"
Thanks for your interest in our work!
