Parents across America are concerned... and they should be. Children’s media today is saturated with progressive messaging.
As we looked through best-seller lists, book store displays, and educational blogs, we were shocked to see how many children’s books center around topics and themes that children should never be exposed to at such a young age. Many of these books contain explicit messages about gender identity and sexuality or promote racially divisive rhetoric. Books like Red: A Crayon’s Story, A is for Activist, Heather Has Two Mommies, 10000 Dresses, I am Jazz, My Princess Boy, I Love My Purse, and Not Every Princess illustrate the ways in which children’s media has devolved over the past few decades.
We believe these books preach identity politics and instill a culture of victimhood in our youth. And while you can find children's books that celebrate gender fluidity on any shelf, there is a jarring shortage of trustworthy alternatives for conservative parents who hope to instill traditional values in their children.
This series fills the gap in the children’s literature market. Rather than pushing a divisive agenda, Liberty Lane creates a wholesome world of stories that promote unifying values we should all share: hard work, personal responsibility, tradition, humility, and patriotism.
Josh and Amalia became friends in college, where they were both members of the Tory Party of the Yale Political Union. Josh studied philosophy and political economy and is currently pursuing a career in business and entrepreneurship. In college, Amalia studied political science and education policy. Her work focuses on political communications and strategic messaging.
As they wrote Liberty Lane, Josh and Amalia lived in completely different parts of the country, working full-time jobs in different industries. With endless help from their publisher Mascot Books and their illustrator Walter, they worked late into the night and juggled weekend calls to write, revise, and finalize every detail you see in each of the five Liberty Lane books.
Each book focuses on one of the five core values (and we've thrown in some "Easter eggs" for the parents too!).
Ralph, Carmen, and Gus are looking for a place to call their own…but they have different ideas for what it should be. Grab your toolbox and join Ralph as he learns the value of hard work in the face of seemingly impossible odds.
Ralph has made too many promises…and too many excuses. Join him in a race against time as he learns the importance of personal responsibility.
Ralph and his friends are on a mission. Put on your thinking caps and help them on their journey to discover the meaning of tradition!
Ralph has his eyes on the prize, but his ego keeps getting in the way. Sprint, swing, and stumble through Field Day as Ralph learns a valuable lesson in humility. On your mark, get set…GO!
Ralph’s class takes a surprise field trip to the Museum of American Patriots! Explore the exhibits with Ralph and his friends as they discover what makes our country great.
The books follow Ralph (and his pup Rufus) on adventures in Liberty Lane and beyond. Ralph's friends, Carmen and Gus, join him throughout the series while he explores each book's core value. The series features a diverse set of characters with whom children of all backgrounds can identify.
We are aiming to raise $5,000 to help pay Mascot Books, our publisher, for the printing and distribution of Liberty Lane. The books have already been written, illustrated, designed, and sent to print. The last step is delivery. To be able to take delivery of our inventory, we need your help to fund our final payment to Mascot Books.

Risks and challenges
In order for us to make our Christmas deadline for our Kickstarter early delivery special, we must raise the necessary funds to pay our publisher.
Our goal is to have all Kickstarter backers be the first to receive their books - a couple months before the official release date in February! While we aim to have the books in your hands by Christmas, there is a chance that the books may only arrive in time for New Years. After the official launch in February, the series will be available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Mascot Books, and, of course, the Liberty Lane website.
Pledging on Kickstarter will provide the necessary funds to get Liberty Lane in your hands in time for the holidays! Proceeds go to Mascot Books for the publishing, printing, and distribution.
Liberty Lane is sure to be a patriotic hit all across the nation, so we'd be honored if you joined us on this journey.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
