REDSHIFT 3D rendering online course
LFO Design’s Redshift 3D course covers all you need to know about lighting, shading, texturing and rendering. Recording provided by multi-award winning team from featured film VFX industry.
However, It doesn’t matter which software you use, you could be using Blender, Maya, Houdini or 3Ds max... The techniques which we will show you are very similar on all mentioned platforms as all platforms use the same node system workflow. By the end of the course, you will be able to apply them in your preferred environment as well.
Before and After Comparison
As you can see on the Redshift 3D Breakdown examples, we will show you step by step process on how you can make from the basic high poly models without UV (picture on screen left side) to cool and professional looking 3D render (picture on screen right side).
This can be done by using Redshift 3D and without any other external software.

The reason why we decided to launch on Kickstarter is simple
We did huge investment and more than 6 dedicated months of our hard work to bring you the best possible product with our VFX know-how.
On our Kickstarter presentation video, you can see our work in progress and what you can expect from our course.
We are now at the final phase of the project, where we need another 5 more weeks to record all 80 Course chapters as per planned. Many of our supporters have requested for more options such as mentor's feedback and more intermediate chapters, etc...
We are always hearing ideas from you and we would like to produce the best possible course while meeting all your requests. However, all those extra requests would mean a lot more time , money, effort and resources on our end.
Support our project and help us make this campaign a huge success. In return, you will get what you requested for!
If you need more info, please contact as on Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Free intermediate level chapter from our course now available!
Please refer to the recently released free chapter about procedural techniques below as example of what you can expect to learn from our course.
If the project is successfully funded, we will create 10 Kickstarter Exclusive Chapters, with the most wanted topics of your choice!
Please feel free to leave us comments on what you would like to see in the 10 chapters.
After the end of the campaign, we will select the most requested ideas and announce the 10 selected topics to all our backers in the update section. As we will only start recording bonus chapters in end of Apr 2019, you can expect to receive the 10 new Intermediate bonus chapter by the end of May 2019.

Who should take this course?
This course is carefully designed for any artist, at any level, from Beginners to Intermediate-level. It's structured to show you every aspect of rendering Redshift 3D with Cinema 4D from the fundamentals to advance techniques. No prior knowledge of Redshift is required but a basic knowledge of Cinema 4D (3DS Max, Houdini, Maya or Blender) is necessary.
What will I learn?
We will go step by step through all Redshift 3D features to help you better understand how you can apply it on your own production.
Our idea is to show u how you can easily control all nodes and their parameters, instead of overloading you with many technicalities and boring information which you don’t actually need to know.
In addition, we will show you more advanced techniques such as how to build new textures, make materials with details without textures or without UV, full procedural materials, masks for material blend from multiple nodes and many more.
The Course consists of 4 main parts split into 80 online chapters:
1, Parameters: We will explain all important redshift objects, color space, lights, environment, volume/vdb, shaders and nodes.
2, Breakdown: We explain step by step and impart our techniques used on professional 3D models.
3, Practice: You will practice the techniques and how to correctly use node parameters on the free 3D models.
4, Pipeline: We will explain how to correctly use Megascans, Substance, X-particles, VDB from Houdini, FD turbulence and Hot 4D with Redshift.

Risks and challenges
The risks for this project are relatively low.
LFO Design is highly committed in making sure that communication and transparency will be at the heart of this campaign. We will provide regular updates on the development of this course.
Currently, we are in amidst of recording the 80 course chapters .
If everything goes according to plan, we can expect the course to be ready around April 2019.The biggest challenge will be to complete the course recording in its entirety and to make sure that it is the most compelling, engaging, and informative as it can possibly be.
The other big challenge will be to get the additional 10 Intermediate bonus Chapters (which will be available in May 2019) done in a timely manner while still maintaining the highest level of quality possible. We want to deliver the 10 bonus chapters to you as soon as we can, but it may, however, take the entire time allotted in each reward tier to do so.
Please note that our mentors are not academic teachers. They are a group of highly-skilled professionals working in the VFX industry and they will impart you techniques and skills based on their past VFX production experiences.
Nevertheless, we believe that the risks for this project are low.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
