Quick Poll - To sleeve or not to sleeve?
I have an exciting opportunity that I wanted to run by you to see how you think I should approach it.
All of the BattleCON games so far released contain about 2450 cards. Getting that many sleeves can be a bit pricey, especially if you're buying high quality sleeves and not just so-called "Penny Sleeves."
We have an opportunity to offer a bundle of 2550 sleeves (700 red, 950 blue, and 900 clear) for $51, a rate of about 2 cents per sleeve. But we need have to have a minimum amount of interest so that we can make a bulk order and make this deal work out.
These sleeves would be matte finish, and they have a nice, snug fit for standard sized cards. I've already received a factory sample and tested them, and they're consistent with above-average industry quality. They shuffle smoothly and even rough shuffling doesn't split them. They don't have any kind of special designs on the backs--just solid colors.
Sleeves aren't really heavy (compared to Devastation or Unleashed) so this wouldn't impact shipping very much for anyone already getting these big games. Maybe $1 or $2 extra at most.
So I'd like to ask you all:
- Does the price ($51 for 2550 sleeves, or 2c per sleeve) seem attractive to you?
- Would you be interested in purchasing a complete sleeving solution as an add-on via the pledge manager at this price.
Depending on the answers we get, we'll see about adding this opportunity onto the Pledge Manager when we launch next week.
Thanks for helping us to make the best decision!
