You are a rancher whose specialty is wranglin' dinosaurs!
Head on over to the Jurassic Hunting Grounds to capture dinosaurs for your ranch by luring them with their favorite foods. Watch out for tar pits spreading on your precious land, reducing the number of dinosaurs that can live on your ranch.
Fill your ranch with the most valuable dinosaurs to become the top rancher and win!
*Dino Dude Ranch is meant to be fun for groups of just adults, yet accessible for children as young as 8.

"If you are in the market for a family game and you have 2-4 people to play with routinely, this is a no brainer. Also if you are in the market for a light filler game for a smaller gaming group, this one is really good as well."
"The game is easy to learn and play with a few dynamics around hidden goals, ability cards, and dinosaur combos that add more decisions to the experience." - Comment from Edo on BGG
"[For] what this game is going for, it does a very good job. It's very light, very casual, and very easy to play."
"The game plays very quickly and is easy to learn, and both of my kids really got into collecting dinosaurs."
COMMENTS FROM PLAYTESTERS:
"I can see this being a huge hit with families and on casual game nights." - Nicholas Yu, Zucchini People Games (Hero Brigades 1&2, Eternal Dynasty)
"Just enough strategy to keep adults interested, without creating a huge disadvantage for the kids at the table." - Matt Holden, Indie Game Alliance
"This game is exceptionally fun and easy to pick up. Although it seems like it would be geared towards kids specifically, it is a great game for all ages. I'm 27 and got a chance to test the game. The concept alone sounded really cool. When I got to play the game, I was pleasantly surprised. It was thoroughly enjoyable and kept me coming back for more." - BGG User ShinsengumiRonin
"If you are looking for family game, birthday present for a family member, love Dino art (which is fantastic in this game), or a light filler game for a party... BACK THIS GAME. Mark my words my gamer friends: if you want your children/cousins/nephews and nieces to get excited about table top games get this fun and cute game. They will love it!!!" - BGG User Denielle
"I have played this game with a few groups of my adult friends and we have all had a great time. The theme is light and fun and the artwork and design fits perfectly." - Playtester Tim S.
"Just play tested Dino Dude Ranch this weekend. It was a lot of fun! My kids (age 13, 10, and 8) all loved it and wanted to keep it. We can't wait until it comes out so we can buy it." - Playtester Mike G.
Resource Collection - Roll custom dice each turn in order to collect resources (leaves, fish, and meat). Players may also earn cards or get tied up with the dreaded Tar Pits during resource collection.
Capture Dinosaurs from the Jurassic Hunting Grounds - Capture dinosaurs based on the types of food that they eat and place them on your ranch. The most valuable dinosaurs can only be tempted with the rarest of foods.
Purchase Cards - In addition to collecting cards during resource collection, players may also choose to spend resources to purchase additional cards. Cards can be used to produce more resources, collect free dinosaurs, and add or remove tar pits from ranches.
Fill Up Your Ranch! - Ranches are filled up by dinosaurs and tar pits. Once one player fills up their ranch, gameplay is stopped and dinosaur/tar pit values are tallied.
Earn Secret Rancher Bonus Points - Each player is dealt a hidden rancher bonus at the start of the game which earn players extra points at the end of the game for having specific combinations of dinosaurs on their ranches.

1.) Without Kickstarter, this game will not get produced. I am a small self-publisher and do not have the funds to produce the game without Kickstarter. If this great game is going to get into the hands of the backers and be enjoyed by so many people, this is the only option for that to happen.
2.) The more money pledged, the better the game. All additional funds received from this campaign will be fed back into manufacture to upgrade components, add more components, and make the game as amazing as possible.
3.) Limited Edition Discounts - Not only will backers save money off the MSRP and receive discounted shipping but they will receive some components as add-ons or through stretch goals for free that will be available at an additional cost after the first run of manufacture dedicated to fulfilling this Kickstarter.
Special thanks goes to my amazing wife and two beautiful daughters as you are my everything. Your support has given me the courage and vision needed to see this project through to its completion. I would also like to give a special thanks Tim S., Deni K., Mike L. and Melanie D. for your amazing support every step of the way through the entire life of this creation. Furthermore, I would like to thank Matt Holden and the IGA, Forrest Bower, Jeff King, Eduardo Baraf, David Lowry, Jimmy Carroll, Tom Gurganus, Ryan Sanders, Space Tavern Games, and Paul Cosca. Lastly, I would like to give a shout out to our official playtesters: Stephanie Letzring, Tim Smith, Deni Kessan, The Wolfs, The Dewes, The Conklins, The Dyers, The LouAllans, The Kubiaks, Jim Payne, Bobbie Harding, Dot Bryan, Nicholas Yu, David Ives, Nicholas Johnson, Mike, Tara, Lillian, Dominic, Juliet, and everyone at the Rochester Game Nights Meet-up Group.
Risks and challenges
Although I have already successfully funded a project on Kickstarter, this is my most ambitious campaign yet. While I'd like to think things will go smoothly, I am trying to be prepared for problems months before they could potentially arise.
Even though Dino Dude Ranch will be manufactured by a reputable company (Wingo) international shipping always has the potential for delays and complications. I believe in being open and forthcoming with the status of fulfillment and will keep backers updated every step of the way. I plan to update weekly once production has begun in order to keep backers informed of the progress of this game. If you take a look at the first Dino Dude Ranch campaign (funding canceled) you will notice that I update my backers often to keep them informed of what my plans are and how I am progressing. Not only do I update often, but I respond to all comments and messages in order to share in the experience together as well as to keep and open and honest relationship through the campaign.
Backers can also rest easy knowing that first and foremost, I take my time and focus on one game at a time and we do not rush it out the door. Each project gets my complete attention before moving on to my next campaign (almost a full year between projects). I have been planning months in advance and hope to fulfill rewards in a timely manner.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
