More Stuff Added + You Can Turn These Updates Off

Posted by Len Peralta (Creator)

Okay, first off, let me apologize for being so digitally verbose about this campaign. I had a backer take his ball and leave yesterday because he felt I was talking too much about the project. As much as i know that is part of the Kickstater game, I can't help but take it personally when someone backs out.  I don't want to upset anyone with my updates, so I want to let you know that you have the option to turn them off .  Just go here:

And you can choose how often  you get my updates - or not at all!   TOTALLY up to you! If you've backed the project, my goal is to keep you here and not to annoy you away.  So please, before you decide to leave, maybe look at editing your project notifications first.  (Thanks to @GeekyJules and @StormCrow42 for the tip!)

Ok, onto updates!

Last night I added my friend Sarah Lane from TWiT.TV to the deck. Sarah is one of the incredible tech reporters and hosts that I know. And she is a going to have a great looking trading card.  That brings the current total of geeks to 44.  So 8 more slots to fill.  Feel free to suggest some folks to me.  In fact, that's how some of the people in deck have been added!   Don't be offended if I don't write back.  I am reading your suggestions. So keep suggesting!

So it looks like my Reward Level GEEKLOPEDIA PERALTICA is the most popular level so far.  I had no idea that would be so popular.  So as of today, you can purchase it as an Add-On for $15.  If this project should fund, I will be neck deep in interviews and art and planning, so I've decided to bring in an artist/graphic designer to help me out on the project.  It's none other than @Lexigeek AKA Adam Levermore!

I've been a big fan of Adam's work for quite a while now and we've both been looking for a way to collaborate.  I can't think of a better person and designer that I would trust more than Adam for my project.  I'm so excited to have him on board!

The Geeklopedia Peraltica will be a digital PDF booklet of every geek I've ever drawn for the project, including those that were never released as physical cards.  It's a fine way to digitally collect the project so far.  What a value!

Thrilling Adventure Hangout!

The lovely Hal Lublin has graciously offered up this incredible reward for the project.  Quite frankly, I wish I could take this reward, but you know - The "Creator's Can't Pledge to Their Own Kickstarter" thing. Luckily, you can!

At the $300 level, you can attend a hangout with Thrilling Adventure Hour WorkJuice Players, Hal Lublin, Annie Savage and Mark Gagliardi! The hangout will be after one of their Largo shows at a location TBD (Hal assures me it will be a nice place). Hal will buy you a drink and MAKE A BIG DEAL OUT OF IT PUBLICLY. This reward is capped at five and will take place on one night that is mutually agreeable for all backers. (There will not five separate personalized TAHAngouts with this reward. Sorry!)  You are also responsible for your own ticket to the show. BTW, if you're in the LA area and you haven't seen Thrilling Adventure Hour live - you simply must!

Scott Johnson Exclusive Print!

Scott's print is still in progress, but here is an example of some of Scott's work!
Scott's print is still in progress, but here is an example of some of Scott's work!

I was on Scott Johnson and Brian Ibbot's podcast, The Morning Stream, this morning and announced a new reward!  Scott is offering an EXCLUSIVE Print for this Kickstarter at the $75 level.  Scott is the second artist to offer an exclusive print (including John Kovalic) so If you've backed at another level and you want either one of the exclusive prints, you can do so by adding on $20 to our pledge for each.

Be A Guest On Like I'm An Idiot with Josh Cagan

At the $150 level, you can be a guest on the wonderfully funny podcast, Like I'm An Idiot. If you don't know the premise of the show, Josh brings on experts in a particular topic and then Josh has them explain it to him in layman's terms. Past topics have included Voice-Over Acting, The Cloud and Indie Comics Illustrating.  It's a truly wonderful show and it's a great chance to show of your knowledge and expertise on a subject! Only five slots available!

Night Attack Track Pack

For those fans of Brian Brushwood and Justin Robert Young's NSFW Show, and those who inhabit the area known as the The Chatrealm, this limited reward might be up your alley. At the $150 level, Brian and JuRY will record a 5-10 minute (or longer) personlaized chat about a topic you choose. You'll get the MP3 of the file and if it's really good, they might even release it to wild!

Go Chatrealm Go!

I think that's it!  Between the Google Hanouts, uncut sheets, Geeklopedia Peraltica, guest spots and prints - not to mention the potential of Geek A Week Gloom, there are certainly a lot of options to choose from.

Thanks again for backing and thanks for putting up with my Kickstarter plugs.
