We have a record to make and we need your help!
Hi! Joy and Rebecca here, aka, Lenore. Collectively, we have been singing professionally for almost 50 years, i.e. a very long time. We found each other in our mid-thirties at a point where we were both feeling uninspired by performing as solo artists, nearly ready to hang it up. Lenore feels like a second chance for both of us, and also like a shared shining moment. After all of our separate years of toil, this collaboration continues to develop so naturally. Not to say that it isn’t a whole bunch of work, it is, but every step we've made has been so obvious to us. This album is our next step and will serve as the physical embodiment of our chemistry. Without Kickstarter, it would be at least a solid year before this album is in the hot hands of our fans (and Moms), so we are really grateful to live in a time where this kind of crowdsourcing is possible. We want this to be something we do WITH our community. We hope you'll join us on our journey. Get in here!

*Many thanks to Jesse Rosten, who directed, shot, and edited our video, and also to Aimee Lynn Barneburg for being one heck of a producer!
Risks and challenges
With any creative endeavor, the biggest challenge is being realistic and following through. We've worked closely with our producer John Askew(Alela Diane, Laura Gibson, etc.) to nail down our budget and timeline. We feel confident that we have an attainable goal in sight!
The real risk we face is not getting funded. We are aspiring to make a record with some of the best professionals that Portland has to offer, and it won't be cheap. This project is the most costly one that either of us has ever taken on, but after so many years in music, this record with these players will reflect the culmination of our collective experience.
The songs are ready, the players and studio are booked, and we couldn't be more grateful or encouraged by your support. THANK YOU!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
