FINDING THE BURNETT HEARTBy Paul Elliott
We need your help to bring to the stage a phenomenal play with a powerful message – Finding the Burnett Heart, a new work by Paul Elliott.
The coming out of sixteen-year old Tyler Burnett reveals his family’s true colors – and they ain’t pretty. This extremely timely story tackles the issue that far too often leads to bullying, depression and suicide, and provides hope for an alternative.
Often hilarious and always gut-wrenchingly honest, this is much more than a coming out play. It beautifully conveys the critical need for love, acceptance and a backbone to heal the generational wounds that exist in many families and illustrates the importance of giving our children what we didn’t get from our parents.
It’s not just a play. It’s an experience that will resonate on a deep level with everyone from teens to grandparents. It’s a message that needs to be shared. You can make that happen!
In order to give this play the platform it deserves, we are mounting a run April 19-May 27, 2012 at the prestigious Lillian Theatre in Hollywood. We need to raise money to build an amazing set, hire lighting, sound and set designers, and mount a multimedia marketing campaign on a grand scale, all of which are expensive. That’s where you come in. We are hoping to raise $15,000 in order produce this moving family drama. Your donation will contribute greatly to this important new work. Every little bit helps and we really hope that you can help us make this dream come true.
