We're on the home stretch!!!

Hey gang!!  Paul Trowe here.  Well, I *was* in bed today recouperating from being "on" the last 30 days for 24 hours/day until Josh & Al called and said "Paul, get out of bed...we have this brilliant idea for the last 24 hours...we want to do a Larry Blow Out".  So, with every last piece of energy I had, I got out of bed, stopped by the local coffee shop and fueled up with caffeine, got in to the office and uploaded Al's video.  Not five minutes after I uploaded the video it's already been watched over 115 times.  You guys are fast, man!!!

Ok, so...here's Josh & Al's awesome idea.  We hope you like it.  We're dropping some of the super high tiers by a couple of bucks to help you guys get to the $650k mark and get yourselves another girl and more story for the game.  We're doing everything we can at this end, so please help us out and do everything you can at your end, ok?  And in the meantime, I'll stay up with you until the very last minute...pushing and shoving our way to $650k to get you guys what you want.  I just hope to God I don't have a heart attack after this thing is over.  I still have to get to E3 in June.  Ugh.  :)

Oh, sorry...one last thing.  Here's a link to show the totals of Kickstarter & PayPal so you guys know how close we are to the $650k mark.  It updates every 5 minutes and is on the Eastern time zone.  Huge shout out to Britton for making this work at the last minute.  http://www.replaygamesinc.com/leisure-suit-larry-paypal-donations/

Let's do it gang...one last push!!!

-Paul

Congratulations! Your passion was infectious. You all ran a very smart campaign, and I am looking forward to an equally smart (and filthy!) game in the fall. Can't wait!

Awesome. No more, no less :) I am thrilled that Al gets to have his baby back, even if it is currently only under license.

    3. Mark Clarke on May 2, 2012

And I predicted they wouldn't make more than 600k! What an idiot I am to underestimate the gamers' passion. You guys proved me wrong and rock because of it!

      Impressive.
I must say I didn't expect this, I must be polluted by EA. Just imagine So many people wanting the real Larry back. :D
I can only hope that you keep the old tradition and make sure that Larry can die In horrible and funny ways, preferably, when leaving the bar after one to many drinks

WooHoo!!!! Both goals met!!! Congrats guys!!! Is it October yet? It can't come soon enough.

Congrats on making it to $650,000...I fondly remember playing the first Leisure Suit Larry (albeit as a kid) and then, as an adult playing the last one...so, I hope this is a good remake.

    11. KevinSensei on May 2, 2012

Woot! More game! Congrats Mr. Lowe and all the fine folks at Replay. With the new content do you still anticipate finishing in October?

    12. Ed Ploeg and/or Bonny Ploeg on May 2, 2012

Does did mean I can finally drop my WFW3.1 and W95 computers? Any modification on Lsl1 is good as long as it contains the twisted mind of a certain Mr. Lowe. Stupid question; Our summer in Holland last only for two or three days, mostly in June or july . Can we have the shirts on time?

I agree, I'm extremely excited to see every Larry game get a reloaded version. Even LSL7! Do I think it NEEDS it? No... but hell, I still want it! =P

    14. Nelson ☜☆☞Menacing Mop☜☆☞ Miguel on May 2, 2012

What i dream is of every single Larry to get the reloaded treatment and of course, the much anticipated new Larry... But for me would be great to see LSL2 and LSL3 to get the reloaded treatment... And my personal favorite would be cool as well... LSL6 :)

    15. Sven Opitz on May 2, 2012

      Mr Laffer, congratulations, it's a girl! ;)

    16. Insaney on May 2, 2012

    21. James Young on May 2, 2012

      Good on ya Al!
Thanks for spending so much time chatting in the charity stream the other day, was a great informal way to hang out with you a bit, and have all my crazy nerdy questions about game music etc answered.

    22. R. Power on May 2, 2012

I just changed from $75 to $500, hopefully it'll help. The Replay Games page is showing less then $4K away, it's so close!

Increased my pledge from $75 to $115 today. Hope others can chip in a few more dollars aswell:)

    28. Daniel on May 1, 2012

I've already increased my pledge from $15 to $100. If in the final hour, we still haven't reached the $650,000 mark, I will probably increase my pledge one more step higher. Which I hope many others will consider doing in that final hour.

    29. John k Arpin on May 1, 2012

They were able to change the dog and drink tier

    30. Missing avatar

      Jim M. on May 1, 2012

@John I don't think they can change the prices for those specific tiers on Kickstarter, because it doesn't let them. You might have to go through PayPal, so I would check with someone at Replay to clarify that.

    31. Stephen Yang on May 1, 2012

For a second there, I read that email as about a Larry Blow Up doll...

Mind permanently in the gutter I suppose. :)

    32. eXoScoriae on May 1, 2012

I get a little tired of every post by Paul harping on how late he stayed up and how hard he works... We are all grateful without the constant hammering on how he stays up all night all the time.

    33. Mark Clarke on May 1, 2012

Al you make me think of mid-year version of father Christmas, such a positive person and always joking. Thankyou for providing me with so much fun games over the years!

Paul, josh and everyone else stay aweosme!

There can only be one... author for Leisure Suit Larry games. The genius, Al Lowe himself.

    37. Eric Avedissian on May 1, 2012

I'd like to also thank Al, Paul, Josh and everyone else for being so positive. This is the first Kickstarter project I participated in, mainly because I enjoyed playing all of the Leisure Suit Larry games. At first, I contributed $75, then increased it to $100 and finally $150.69. I really want to see these games remade with Al Lowe at the helm. After suffering through Magna Cum Laude, it looks like we're getting our old Larry back. Kudos to everyone who pledged. Leisure Suit Larry is not a titillating porn feat and never was. Leisure Suit Larry is about humor and comedy. He's a doofus who the Fates conspire against, yet in the end, winds up with the girl. Along the way, he's tortured and tormented and we enjoy his awkward journey.
I know Replay Games will produce a wonderfully funny adventure game. I'm glad I could play a small part in funding it.

    46. RoyMartin on May 1, 2012

Thank you to Al, Paul, Josh and all you other guys for working hard on the Kickstarter. I wish I could afford $2,500 but alas I can't.

I'm crossing fingers for $650K, though, and I think we can do it!
