About
Ordinary Towns is a book chock full of small, detailed towns ready to drop in and explore. It's the perfect resource for the game master trying to fill time on lonely journeys, world builders wanting to make everything come alive, and writers who just need a backdrop for that next awesome adventure.

Everything you need
There are 50 towns inside this 220+ page book, each with:
- A map and key
- A brief history and description
- A read-aloud box text for the GM-on-the-go
- Over a dozen unique NPC descriptions
- A few adventure hooks for the party to sink its teeth into
Every backer will receive a full PDF copy and a Digital Art Pack which includes all of the map and art from the book at full resolution. These will be delivered as soon as the campaign ends!
We also have a forward by the one-and-only James Intracaso!

Everything hand drawn
All of the art inside the book is hand drawn by the very talented Luke Absolum Reid. The maps are all black charcoal on paper, which were then meticulously digitized for the book. Want something a little nicer than just 1s and 0s? Pledge at the $200 Town level and you will receive one of the original drawings. There are only 45 of these available (we here at LP selfishly held onto the last 5), so get in on it quick!

Everything ready to go
Our policy is we don't start a campaign with material we're not prepared to deliver right away. We're in the final stages of layout and editing now, and the book will be print-ready by the end of the campaign. That means the digital copy of the book will be delivered just two weeks after the campaign finishes. Yeah, that's how we roll.
Printing will take more time, as there is a quick back-and-forth with the proof and a printing time. The more backers we get who want a physical book, the longer the printing will take. We're conservatively estimating that printing will finish up in early May with orders being sent to customers in late May and early June.
Stretch goals are an exception, though. We have poured all of our time and energy into delivering the primary product here, which is the Ordinary Towns book. However, we thought of some neat-o stretch goals that we'd like to get accomplished. These will be delivered at a later date.

Residency Program
Hey, do you want to make your mark on the book, permanently? Awesome! Become a Resident level backer, and you can do just that!
We will work with each of our Resident backers to come up with a unique NPC that will live in the final, 50th town of the book. Space is limited, so we can only offer this to the first 20 people to claim this tier. Our Residents will also receive credit in the book for their contributions.

Stretch Goals
We have a few stretch goals for this campaign, if we do as well as we hope to. The stretch goals do not affect the delivery date of the book, however they themselves may be delivered later.
Modules At $10,000, each of the four contributors to this book will write a DnD5e module which takes place in one of the towns. Each one will be a 3-4 hour module with hand-drawn assets by Luke. They will be provided as free PDFs for everyone who backed the campaign!
Hardcover At $25,000, we can justify some on-demand hardcover printing. We'll add an option to upgrade your softcover to a hardcover for an extra $10 after the campaign.
Art Book At $50,000, we have a special offering: our very own Luke Absolum Reid will put together an "Art of Ordinary Towns" book. We'll give it away as a free PDF to every backer, and have physical copies available as an add-on. Here's what he has to say about this follow-up project:
The Ordinary Towns Art Book is a complete assemblage of rough cuts, conversations, sketches, reworks, and details that expand on the process of creating the art for Ordinary Towns. My goal is to give readers a perspective into the aesthetic development of each of these little hamlets with the hope that it will add depth to the experience of each town and the source as a whole.

Risks and challenges
This will (hopefully) be our third successful Kickstarter campaign, so we know what we're doing by now. Of course, delays can always happen, but we're working closely with a Philadelphia-local printer and should know if anything crops up. So far, everything looks peachy!
The digital work is in its final stages and will be complete by the time the pledges clear, roughly two weeks after the campaign ends. So, we don't expect any problems in getting those PDF and artwork packs out then.
We're all set and on schedule. Nice!
Thank you very much for your support!
