Lord of Milan Cinema Screenings (Nottingham, London, Manchester, China)
Thanks for backing us. And thanks for your patience up until now. First things first, have you seen our new cinema trailer yet?
Hope you like it. If you want to see our film (and your name in the credits) first on the big screen then here are your opportunities. If any of you kickstarter backers do make these screenings and let us know in advance you can have a free poster or ltd edition postcard set too. I (Jared LeftLion) should be at all of these, so come and say hello in person.
Wed 4 July
Broadway Cinema, Nottingham
Those of you based in Notts will know this place well. It’s the venue where Quentin Tarantino used to hang out and held the European premiere of Pulp Fiction. We had the gala screening of The Lord of Milan there back in October last year (and sold out their biggest screen). We’re back there for one night only. OVER HALF THE TICKETS HAVE SOLD OUT ALREADY, SO IF YOU WANT TO SEE IT GET YOURS QUICKLY!!
Mon 16 July
The Phoenix, East Finchley, London
A London screening? Yes! At Mark Kermode’s favourite cinema? YES!
This screening also features a live Q&A with AC Milan, Watford and England legend Luther Blissett. Come and meet this eighties football icon in person.
Buy tickets link coming soon (we're still waiting on the venue for this)

Saturday 21 July
Manchester is a proper football town. And this cinema is a real treat! Formerly known as the Cornerhouse, the screening is programmed in association with The National Football Museum. Jared Wilson (Director) and Robert Nieri (Author) are also doing a talk in Manchester at the museum the Saturday before (14 July) as part of Festa Italiana.
Seriously! When we won those awards in Italy at the FICTS Festival we didn’t realise where we’d end up. We’re now programmed as part of their 2018 heat in Beijing. They’re still confirming the venue and date, but there’s a strong possibility it will be at the Birds Nest. You can’t buy tickets for this one I’m afraid, but if we manage to get ourselves along to China then we'll be sure to post some photos on here.
Thanks, as ever, for your patience on the digital version of the film too. You will get it eventually but, as mentioned previously, we just need to protect the cinema run first. When we first started crowdfunding for this project we had no idea where it would take us. You're all part of that journey now too.
Jared Wilson, Director, The Lord of Milan
