LeftLion Magazine is put together in Nottingham, UK by a host of local designers, writers, photographers, illustrators and grammar pedants.
We've been running for over 10 years. We print 10,000 copies every two months and dish them out free to 300+ venues in Nottingham. People around the city love what we do and each issue runs out quickly! So we want to do more.
To celebrate over a decade in print, we want to go monthly. That would mean we publish almost twice as many issues from us in a year (We say 'almost' because we're planning on doing 11 issues with a bumper Dec-Jan edition - even our lot deserve Christmas off).
But to start this off, we need a leg-up. We are asking our readers - and those with a bit of cash and a passing interest - to help us raise £10,000 to cover the additional cost of printing those extra monthly issues for one year.
We like to think we've made a big contribution to Nottingham's cultural and creative scene, which is probably evident by some of the awesome rewards people like singer Jake Bugg, author Alison Moore and John Blanche from Games Workshop have donated to this campaign (see below).
If everyone who has picked up one of our issues in the last year donated a quid then we’d be more than sorted. But if you can afford more, then we definitely won’t pass it up. Did we mention your hair looks well good today too?

Risks and challenges
The risk of us not being able to fulfil a monthly magazine is minimal. We already have more than enough content on our website to do this already. In ten years of printing magazines we have never missed a deadline. We are highly confident that this level of professionalism will continue.
