Thanksgiving Wii-U Announcement

Lefthanded Games Studio, LLC. is now an official Nintendo indie developer! We got the call from Nintendo yesterday and are now ready to roll with Wii-U!

Due to NDA’s we just signed with Nintendo we can’t go into too much depth but we now have accurate costs for the necessary dev hardware to port Lobodestroyo to the Wii-U console.

We have restructured the costs and expenses as a team, and taking into account the massive interest from the Nintendo community on this game we have decided to lower the Wii-U goal. In fact we are going to abolish the stretch goal entirely and absorb the cost into our initial goal. So long and short of it:

Wii-U is now included in the goal total!!

Lobodestroyo will come to Wii-U if we reach our initial asking goal. The Wii-U stretch goal has been removed and the subsequent stretches adjusted to reflect this change!

With two weeks left in or campaign we really hope that this news makes Lobodestroyo all the more enticing for Nintendo fans. If you where on the fence about Lobo being able to reach its Wii-U goal please consider supporting the project now! The Wii-U is a perfect platform for Lobodestroyo and we are really excited that the Nintendo community, and our backers, have voiced their opinion to make sure that it gets there.

In the spirit of Thanksgiving we want to take the time to mention how much we appreciate our backers and are truly thankful for their support. We can't do this without you and can't thank you enough for backing our little game project. We hope that our goal shifts continue to show how appreciative we are.

Thank you!

Please note: this change does not affect the agreement we made with Ouya for the console exclusivity. The Wii-U version will no longer be a stretch goal, however the game will still launch on Ouya/PC/Mac/Linux as previously stated. The agreement states that for every $10K Ouya matches, Lobodestroyo will remain a console exclusive to the Ouya for one month. This means that the Wii-U version will not be released until the agreed duration has been completed.

As before, I urge you to visit the Free The Games Fund website to learn more about the program and see how it is helping us bring Lobo to life. It's a great program and one I can’t praise enough. Check us out on their projects page, as well as some of the other KickStarters vying for your backing support.
