Welcome to Lea's 'QUICK PITCH" Kickstarter series! Here's the scoop: Lea's notebook is bursting with fun ideas, but she's not sure which ones on her wish list you will love most! So she is running an experiment here on Kickstarter -- pitching a handful of quirky, wondrous ideas to you this year instead of just one highly-polished idea. It takes way too much time and resources to package up an idea into a perfectly-produced Kickstarter page, so with QUICK PITCHES, Lea will jump straight to the good stuff: SHARING her ideas with you, TESTING the waters, and then MAKING them come true! And then pitching another awesome idea to you AGAIN and ASAP. Expect these quick pitches to be rough around the edges, but full of all the heart, dedication, and ability to execute that you've come to expect from Lea Redmond over the years. She's can't wait to find out what you're excited for her to make!
WHO IS LEA? Lea has made things like crazy since she was a wee one, such as this tiny paper soda pop machine. You can explore her world at LeaRedmond.com. Her participatory art projects, such as With A Pencil In My Pocket and Sugar Books invite people to find the extraordinary in the ordinary. Lea dreams up and designs whimsical goods such as Seed Money and Matchbox Theater for her business, Leafcutter Designs. Her World’s Smallest Post Service has charmed tens of thousands of people with teeny tiny mail. Lea also creates books, journals, and games via various publishers, including Letters To My Future Self, All Lovely Things, Knit The Sky, and Paint Chip Poetry. She recently opened Lucky Penny Parlor in Downtown Oakland, a tiny 250-square-foot storefront and wonder cabinet. She was the first ever "Artist In The House" at Chronicle Books, where she turned the publishing house's elevator into a tea room.

Risks and challenges
Even though this project is part of Lea Redmond's "QUICK PITCH" series, rest assured that she has done the necessary research and budgeting to be sure that the rewards can be filled in a timely manner. Lea has over a decade of experience crafting and manufacturing small objects in her studio in Oakland, CA, and Lucky Penny Press is fairly simple in terms of making. As always, fulfillment only gets tricky if we get TONS more backers than we expect. If that happens, we'll do our best to move as quickly as possible, hiring extra staff, etc., to get all these penny poems pressed for you ASAP!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
