When you back this Kickstarter above level 1, you get the PDF book and a code for DriveThru RPG.

This code allows you to buy my book from DriveThru RPG at print cost.

To get your book you click the link and pay DriveThru RPG a few more dollars to cover the cost of printing and shipping the book to you. I don't make any money off the printing or shipping. I only make money from the Kickstarter pledges.

Softcover estimated* at cost print : $3  + shipping

Hard-cover estimated* at cost print : $8.55 + shipping

*This is an estimate because the page count is not yet finalized. It should not vary by more than a dollar.

Risks and challenges

This is my first kickstarter.

I have intentionally kept things very simple with no stretch goals,
no alternative book covers, or bells and whistles so that I can focus on delivering a great product and avoid complications.

The printing is being done through Drive-Thru's print-on-demand with at cost coupons being sent to backers, which also helps to simplify things and avoid delays in printing and fulfillment.

The only work on the book that I am not doing myself is the editing and play-testing, so I can avoid any delays and budget issues that might arise from hiring artists and graphic designers. But since I am kind of a one man band, I am vulnerable to being taken out from a lightning strike or something like that!

I have been heavily researching lessons people have learned from kickstarter campaigns and potential pitfalls for a year now, and have put a lot of thought into this project.
