Oh my oh my Laura. Ive been waiting three years to use my mouse. If is awful you disappearing when we have developers willing to help. My Mac is getting old.

The fact that I got an ugly yellow mouse is unfortunately, although I can live with that. What is really pissing me off is that the product does in fact not work (tested on two different Windows 7 machines with different BlueTooth stacks). To be precise, pairing does not work. It _IS_ an expensive paper weight, but due to being that ugly, I can't even use it for that purpose. Kickstarter should not accept any future projects from these people. Tech support is non-existent.
Yeah, this is pretty awful. I’ve had some good conversations with Customer Service, but the fact that we still don’t have software for OS X is pretty ridiculous. If it requires a hardware upgrade, they may just have to send one out to those of us who work on Mac.
For us Mac users a class action suit might be the next step.
No new update, no information, no support and no real driver for the mouse (which should have priority number one from the beginning)...
So, now we are left with an expensive paperweight?
I'm sorry to see Laura Sapiens going under water, but it's a nice little product with little exposure. Now there are more advanced things that do things better. Laura Sapiens should have been more vocal and continued to innovate.

The company has had to let people go, and is potentially struggling to DELIVER the stuff they said they would, and you're all ready to go form a lynch mob?
This is kickstarter. There are risks, always, when being the first to access a product. It's early adoption, on steroids. Sometimes it doesn't work out. All claiming against your order will do, is almost certainly destroy what's left of LS - guaranteeing zero outcome.
Well done. Bravo.

- Hey Harry, I see your points also. After reading Update 11 perhaps I was being too quick off the mark defending them?! So who now knows where we'll go from here? However, I do still think that they were so good all the way along the Project that it seemed unlike them to be a 'scam' but at least it answers allot of questions (but leaves more unanswered!) I guess now we have no choice but to await 'What Next?'
I don't think that we can get all the answers we need quickly, if they are without staff then one can only assume the backlog of emails & tickets must be massive, they have said at least they will finish the OSX Version but what about my broken hardware!?! I guess it's 'Watch This Space' & say a little prayer!)
(Harry - Don't forget they can view the comments board without logging on, simply by using their personal KS Accounts - Which from the sounds of it they have been reading? - Just a thought? - I had another Project Creator do it on us, didn't sign in for months but another Backer realised that another 'Pro-To The Cause Backers' pseudonym was an anagram of his real name!) I got my Ego few days ago, not the one I have ordered but at least I got something. looks like this is all about Laura Sapiens ans Ego Smartmouse, it was a promising project hope the team can make it open source and someone else can continue with it...
Hey Nick, I do agree what you are saying, but I do think it is a little ridiculous that:
1) They have not responded to the same question, emails, or messages on KS since September 4Th, but have been online (Kickstarter) multiple times (When clicking on their profile it shows last logged in date).
2) OSX version was promised for I think July. Now 2 months late. No reason any software issue should be delayed 2 months for one simple blue tooth issue. I'm a OSX and IOS developer and know that it should take maybe a week to get it resolved.
Overall, if the software is not done/started/not going to be released just tell us. I would prefer to know rather than be ignored for almost an entire month. Thats all I'll say.
I've just read some of the comments here & I think you Guys need to calm down a little - THIS IS NOT A SCAM PROJECT! - Let's get that straight from the off. They are just really busy right now trying to resolve the issues caused by third parties. Wrong colour deliveries etc. - I had the same problem but returned the incorrect colour & was sent a replacement. However, things take time to resolve - they are only a small Company & are working with limited resources. They are not Apple or Amazon just in the same way Kickstarter is not a store front.
You backed an ideal from a design & a prototype. Remember you backed a sapling Company & 'invested' in its success of launching a new Product to the marketplace. This was not a 'Pre-Order' or a down payment - You are awaiting to receive a "REWARD!" - It is a mere token of Thanks in assisting a small Company realise its Design & Production, in this case, of a new piece hardware & further the Company. In effect you are really just making a donation & any 'Perk' or 'Reward' is just that - a sweetener! Sometimes you can 'donate' & the whole Project can not produce what was originally promised - not in this case - I have backed Projects that have exceeded their goals & 8/10 months down the line have said 'Okay, we've done this, this & this but we're unable to reach the final goal & go into Production because we've run out of cash! On occasions this is down to poor management & greed but in some cases they reach a point where they realise that they need more time to be able take a step back to look at a way to resolve the issues they have. Any manner of problems can go wrong & cause delays - in this instance the first batch were done to such a poor finish that they had to be reordered - None of this was Laura Sapiens fault - they got lat down by a third party. All this frustration from Backers is probably felt ten times worse for the EGO! Guys!
Instead of berating them & starting to 'scaremonger' other Backers by going on a 'witch hunt' (save that for Halloween!) calling them 'con-men' et al! Why don't we all work together with the Creators & give them a break to let them try to work out what needs to be resolved. They have said the easiest way to deal with individual problems is to contact them via the KS Messaging System or alternately 'Raise A Ticket' from the Support section of their website. They may not answer immediately - give them some time & lets all try to get some sort of order, calm & dignity back to the Comments Board. You are aware that there was the national festival celebrations of 'Mid-Autumn Day' from September 19th in China & all businesses close until the 21st, many factories remain closed for longer. Also, it has been the Festival of St. Gennaro in Italy, that was last Thursday, so perhaps their taking some family time out? Who knows? However, one thing is sure, this Project is not a scam or being masterminded by underworld mafioso bosses! They've just hit a small rut! I'm sure normal service will resume shortly!

We need more info. This campaign is starting to almost feel like a scam....give us our product but nothing to use it with. How do I know this even works?

Martin, don't expect a response...my question from September 4Th is still un-answered. The last time they logged in was (It say son their profile) September 16Th...they're ignoring us that shows. No charging cable is horrible, I thought the same thing. How ridiculous. Where are you located? I'm in USA and wasn't charged anything....
Isn't shipping/handling included? It cost me just under $30 at the door when UPS delivered. And it is the WRONG COLOUR. And no charging cable. And no Mac software at almost the end of September that was promised by July.

i got a blue one but i ordered a white one messaged twice got no response...and i dont like the blue on the mouse i received....... i ordered white mouse for a reason!
Same problem here, I just got mine but its the wrong color I asked for White and received a yellow instead...
In the quick guide it says one of the virtual buttons can be configured. I haven't found out how. Could anybody tell me, please?
Its been now what, 7 days and no response from the team at all regarding anything it seems. They usually respond in a day or so. So they're obviously trying to hide something....
I tried reaching out to the dev team to see if I could lend some research time to the issue to solve the Mac gap. No answer. fingers crossed a solution is on the horizon and I can actually *use* my awesome new über mouse!

When do you expect to have a mac update? If you have a developer working on this every day it should have been fixed by now. I am disappointed to see software holding you up over a month. I have a product and no way to use it now. Well lets play the waiting game...
