increased my pedge as i so hope this projecy gets as much money as possible. These guys are some of the best for making great rpg and from what i have seen sin will be no different and looks to me as if it will be the best divinity game ever.

Gratz on reaching the $650k tier now we need to get the next :)

I so badly want companion henchmen.

    3. JonNik on

@Arhu: Exactly what I was thinking. My favorite example will be Night of the Raven for Gothic 2.
It not also added new content, but significantly improved the main game too.

I would buy a new version or an Addon/Addin that added any systems/stretch goals not reached in the blink of an eye...

Hell Larian, you can even Kickstart the Addon in a few months after the main game is released and the money is starting to roll in a bit ;)

    4. Arhu on

@Larian: Yes, you can. Make an addon, you know, like it used to be done in the olden days, and casually include all stretch goals that weren't met. =^.^=

Still hoping for the million ... someone should go to one of those shows, win and donate it here.

    5. LordCrash on

      @ Kingslayer @Ernest
A GOTY would be ok, like the DKS for Divinity2. But I prefer a "full" game at release.... ;)

    6. Frank Flury on

I hope we make all the stretch goals above and beyond 1,000,000! Everyone needs to tell their friend and them theirs to do it in four days. If they are like today we will only reach 621,000 plus.

I know this is going to be a much better game than the for mentioned Skyrim that I like to call "Glitchdom", because they didn't care about their sloppy programing.
      Oh, Sorry.

@ LC Ah, I see. My bad. My CRPG background is from the nineties. Most of my gaming since 2001 has been MMOs. I also frequent Steam a lot, where DLC is quite normal. I mean Skyrim, a very popular RPG title, has put out DLC over the last year. People accept that.

    8. Kingslayer on

It's okay, just refer to it as an expansion rather than DLC and the masses won't mind. They're funny like that.

    9. LordCrash on

      @ Ernest
There are many gamers out there who would beat you up for a comment like that.... ;)

Non-free DLCs are a complete No-Go for a CRPG like that. That would be a slap in the face to a big part of your core audience.... ;)

    10. Kingslayer on

Those last 3 stretch goals would make this easily one of the very best cRPGs of all time. Someone needs to get someone like Bill Gates or Eric Schulz into the Divinity series, and fast.

Regarding what Steven and Jhonrock said about having the stretch goal features in later releases should we not meet them during kickstarter (I'm really hoping we do though!)...I should think that D:OS will be re-playable enough so that if those features were available as DLC gamers would pay for them months after release. I don't know if how doable that is; many variables, unknowns, risk. ...I'd pay another $20 or $25 for the the last two stretch goals in the form of DLC.

    12. Dimitris WOOS on

On the other hand, if we do reach the last stretch goal, is there enough time until the estimated November 2013 for those new features to be added? Note, that I don't mind delays if the game is going to be better.

    13. Weresheep of BAAAH on

All I wish for this year's Christmas is that we reach that 650k stretch goal T_T'

Though to be honest I wouldn't mind a lot if the money for previous stretch goals were instead just used on that last one... :D

Larian has to be one of the coolest developers to ever exist. I'm getting really attached to you guys. I want to visit Belgium!

I know $1,000,000 might be a lot to hope for, but I really want that top stretch goal!

Time to start my playthrough of Divinity, Beyond Divinity and Divinity 2 in preparation. :)

    15. LordCrash on

      @ Taragon
Larian has stated before that they don't like DLCs. :)

    16. Taragon on

i was wondering, since dlc was brought up, are you planning to have any dlc? my personal opinion is that while i love stuff added to a game, i also dont want to feel like my game is incomplete with buying X,Y and Z.

@Josh: It's supposed to be April 22nd. I'm doing too many things at the same time :)

    18. Larian Studios LLC 2-time creator on

@Jhonrock @ Steven: I think it's more going to be a case of - didn't manage in this game, will manage in the next game. We cannot keep on working on the same game.

nice update. you've hit some nails

      Good thinking Jhon..
Patches/addons/expansions packs could work..just not DLCs

    22. Jhonrock on

Uuuummm... i think now is a good moment to ask the same question i asked a few updates ago. I really, really, really want to see the next 3 stretch goals met, but we can see now that will be a tough fight, so, assuming that the next stretch goals are not met, can those features be implemented in the game through downloadable patches in the future (after release)? It will be really sad if this features never appear in the game.

    23. Thomas Zilling - Tormented WoOS of OOoE

      Nice update video. Thanks.

    24. Philip Konczak on

Also looking forward to the next stretch goal. Would love to see all 3 done as all would really enhance the game.

(left this on the blog too...)
I'm really excited about hitting the next stretchgoal, that should be an awesome addition -Looks possible too at this rate!.
I have to ask, because I am really curious, if for some reason we don't hit the final (3) stretchgoal(s), is there some way it could be implemented into the game after it is released - after both DC and D:OS are released... and once you've raised enough money? I know it probably wouldn't happen, but I'd be curious to know if it was possible. It's a huge thing to ask, and as you put the company on the line I would expect the obvious (a no).
Keep your guys chin up, both games are looking awesome!

'I'm level 1 and he's level 3': Don't these sorts of things break the immersion? I mean, it could be just 'It's a skeleton and I'm not strong enough to fight him'.
Maybe a talent could be to see the strengh of the ennemies (hp,...).

I would prefer not seeing the level of the ennemies, maybe just an indication behind the name of the skeleton: weak skeleton - strong skeleton - frightening skeleton and so on. And instead of seeing his life, have some commentary: he seems exhausted, ....

Woos nice update bahhhh. Gimmie some talents and do it a night please!

If i had that much money, i would totally give it to Larian.

Nice video explaining the stretch goals. We definitely need the traits&talents and companions!
