Thank you!!!! You are the best!!!!

Wow! Funded in less than a fortnight! You are amazing!

And what a great community you are too. You have no idea how much ideas you gave us already by posting your question and feedback in the comments section and on our forum pages. Your belief in our ability to deliver is extremely motivating for us, and we will do our utter best not to disappoint you.

As a token of our appreciation, here’s a new video that contains a little gift to all of you in our community. You’ve been working very hard in getting people to notice our campaign and without you, we wouldn’t be funded today. Enjoy!

Bellegar hears you!

There’s been a lot of demand and a lot of rhyming to summon Bellegar and he let us know that he’s not insensitive to your prayers. But this is Bellegar, right, so nothing comes easy.

He sent us this message:

Divinity fans, rise and cheer For Bellegar shall soon appear!

Yet, my friends, when push comes to shove First I'll want a little love!

So 'Like' me on my facebook page

 And everybody's favourite mage

Will soon arrive on the glorious stage!

For each and every thousand likes,

I'll cheer and clap and yell out 'Yikes!',

And to your great, your utter delight

Brighten the day by stepping in sight,

For no greater joys or pleasures there are

Than meeting the mighty Bellegar!

Yes, Bellegar now works (interim he assures us) at a social media marketing firm and yes, he's indeed shamelessly looking for more likes on his Facebook page. So his deal is that for every 1000 Facebook likes, we can add an extra encounter with the might Bellegar to the game! What are you waiting for? Share, like, invite, you know the drill.

If you don't know who this mighty & handsome mage is, play Divinity II: Developer's Cut!

Stretch goals!

Now that we’re funded, we’re going to make every effort we can to reach those stretch goals. We think they’d make a brilliant addition to what’s already going to be a very good RPG, so help us spread the word. Again, everything that’s invested in the game now, ensures that your gameplay experience (and modding experience) will be so much better this fall. Spread the word!

Paypal available now!

Also, now that the campaign is successful, paypal pledges are available. Click here to access our paypal pledge page.

Confirmed: Coming to Linux & Mac!

It's about time, but we are extremely happy to announce that Divinity: Original Sin will now definitely be coming to Mac & Linux. We will do everything we can to ensure that the release dates are going to coincide with the Windows PC release, but if that doesn't happen, it will be shortly after.

For Kickstarter backers only, new rewards!

Over the last two weeks there have been many requests for adding goodies, extra rewards and extra add-ons to our campaign, and to celebrate our successful funding, we extended the list of rewards and add-ons.

First perhaps an overview for those who missed it. There are two Kickstarter-only items that are a gift to everybody who pledges $10 or more to our campaign: Zandalor's epic trunks of intelligence & the Kickstarter potion.

Zandalor's Demonic trunks

Everybody who backed our campaign will receive the delightfully evil demonic trunks of Zandalor. We think they will make gaming history so you should consider yourselves very lucky to have them.

Kickstarter potion

Additionally, anyone who gets the game via Kickstarter will also receive the Kickstarter potion. Quaffing the potion will ensure that whenever you play Divinity: Original Sin (or for that matter, whenever somebody else plays the game with you), it will be clear that you were part of the brave legion that supported our campaign to make this the best RPG we can.

New: Message in the woods

Anybody who pledges $50 or more, will be able to write a message which will be carved in one of the trees in the Dark Forest for everybody to see. Since this is something that all players will see, there will be certain constraints, but we're quite flexible.

There are many trees in the Dark Forest, but are there enough for all those messages?

New: Engraving tool (equipment inscriptions)

Anybody who pledges $95 or more, will receive an in-game engraving tool with which you can engrave messages on any piece of in-game equipment. You will be able to engrave as many pieces of equipment as you want, and give them to people you play the game with online.

Change: Listed in the credits

Everybody who pledges above $95 will be included in the credits of the game as a backer

For Kickstarter backers only, more add-ons!

(Note: Digital add-ons require a base pledge of $25. Physical add-ons require a physical tier, starting at $65. To include an add-on in your pledge, just increase the amount you pledge by the cost of the add-on. When the campaign finishes, we'll contact you via Kickstarter to so you can tell us what add-ons you want. If you want more than one add-on, just sum up the total cost of all the add-ons, and add it to your pledge. When in doubt, contact us ).

New Digital add-ons

Divinity Anthology – add $20

For a mere pittance, you can now get a digital version of the Divinity Anthology included in your pledge. Ten years in the making, the Divinity Anthology collects all games set in the acclaimed Divinity universe: Divine Divinity, Beyond Divinity and the complete Divinity 2 (including the expansion). Experience the remastered versions of these epic fantasy RPGs; enjoy the many unique extras that come with this exclusive edition and celebrate a decade of Divinity!

New Physical add-ons

Fanday ticket – add $150

By popular request, and because we realized we shouldn’t limit this to the upper tiers only because we have many fans whose pockets are not that deep, you can now get a ticket for the first ever Larian Studios fan day! The fan day will be organized in Gent, Belgium this Summer (in August) and will be the ideal opportunity to meet the team ,visit our studio and play Divinity: Original Sin with the devs. You will need to pay for travel and accommodations, but we will take care of all the catering during the day. You'll have fun!

Limited edition Cloth Map: add $25

There has been a lot of demand for this, so we decided to add the lovely cloth map as an add-on. Get it while supplies last. We will remove this add-on once we run out of stock.

Limited edition Kickstarter Signed Poster of Divinity Original Sin: add $25

The Divinity:Original Sin poster, signed by the team at Larian (while supplies last)

Existing add-ons

As a reminder, here are the add-ons that already exist

Digital add-ons

  • Divine Divinity Digital Version (Remastered, HD): add $5
  • Digital Artbook featuring the Art of Divinity Original Sin: add $8
  • Digital Map of the World of Divinity Original Sin: add $8

Thank you Larian for the Linux version! Are you planning to port the editor to Linux as well? Or will it be even more work than porting the game? Anyway thank you, just to let you know I pledged for Linux and for the editor first and foremost because I haven't even played any Divinity game yet, but I will soon discover them since I'm downloading Divine Divinity from GOG right now!

    2. Creator alexanderdario on April 10, 2013

I'm really happy to see finally reached the founding!!
I just wish you will find some italian distributor for a translation of the game...

Just a little thinking: probably if the game was in early development and not almost finished, you will receive a lot more of pledges... maybe like Torment!

    3. Creator Avarchillion on April 10, 2013

      YAY for the Mac version!

    4. Creator twincast: Eternally Tormented Mangy WoOS on April 10, 2013

Late comment, but here it goes:
      YAY!! \(^__^)/

But could you please stop making the $95 tier so awesome? *whimper* I want to give you that much (by way of a partial refund by HBS if possible), but I just can't. (T__T) Post-campaign PayPal upgrades, please? Pretty please?

    5. Creator Arhu on April 10, 2013

@Larian: The stretch goal image in this update is broken / doesn't display:http://www.larian.com/kickstarter/stretchgoals400k.jpg

Also, since this is an addon-update ... I'd love to have black t-shirt options as well as this picture on it: http://www.larian.com/kickstarter/coupleagreeingalot.jpg -- it's so cool.:)

    6. Creator Yuri on April 10, 2013

It's funded and it's coming to Linux! You have my pledge and my appreciation.

    7. Creator Watser on April 10, 2013

      @Dusk
They were bugged so they have been temporarily disabled, they are to be fixed today.

    8. Creator Duskwind (Exile in Torment) on April 9, 2013

What's up with the missing paypal donate buttons on many of the reward tiers?

    9. Creator LordCrash - OD | OOoE | WoOS on April 9, 2013

Swen/Larian said in the comment section that the Fan Day will be likely at August 9th (Friday), but that's only the current plan and not set in stone yet. :)

    10. Creator Piotr Cychowski on April 9, 2013

Seconding the call for advance warning on Fan Day date. Need to book holidays and would appreciate not spending a small fortune on travel and accommodation on short notice :]

    11. Creator amazingscrewonhead - Werekiwi of Sin on April 9, 2013

congratulations! updated my pledge. let's get these stretch goals people!

    12. Creator Killer Bunny of Sin on April 9, 2013

      Congrats! You're welcome times 41!

    13. Creator Stephen P. Suelzle on April 9, 2013

Wow! I'm so glad you got you funding. You benefit and we benefit! I have a pledge question. I am very interested in the engraving tool, but my current pledge is below that. I would happily pay the higher amount but the rewards are different and I like the ones I have now at my current level. Can I just pledge the extra and get the engraving tool?

    14. Creator Duskwind (Exile in Torment) on April 9, 2013

Congrats! And great news on linux support.

Will paypal remain open for at least a couple of weeks after the kickstarter finishes? My budget is pretty much maxed out until next month. And will addons etc be available via PayPal? Backers are backers, whichever platform they donate through...

    15. Creator LordCrash - OD | OOoE | WoOS on April 9, 2013

      @ Laker
Calm down and relax. A DLC is something you have to pay a surplus for. The inscription tool is a gift to all the pledgers here, that's not the same thing. ;)

    16. Creator LordCrash - OD | OOoE | WoOS on April 9, 2013

      @ JM
It's the same map, Swen confirmed that.

    17. Creator croma25td on April 9, 2013

Thanks for the Linux support :) I was waiting for a confirm.

    18. Creator Vincent V. on April 9, 2013

@Sami: I know DD & BD at least work perfectly with PlayOnLinux (which is basically wine), I've only tried the GOG versions though. With the custom desktop size in wine you can also play windowed this way, which I'm not sure is possible in Windows (?) with the GOG remastered versions.

I never ask for Linux support for old games, old engines etc.... Usually Wine is pretty good with this. I see it as more positive to encourage the devs to port their new games and engine. Which is happening for DOS and DC. For Larian it's also a positive experience I imagine to embrace Linux now, since they'll be able to provide support for these games on Valve's Steambox. Everybody wins...

    19. Creator JM - Boorish Weresheep of Sin (deleted) on April 9, 2013

Is that a different map to the one that comes in the collector box?

    20. Creator ThomasN on April 9, 2013

Always nice to support environments in which weresheep are allowed to be created.

    21. Creator A.A. on April 9, 2013

      Tank you!

    22. Creator Arhu on April 9, 2013

      Love this update!

Gotta agree with Laker Doctor though ... I'm not particularly fond of DLC and a little wary regarding pre-order exclusive in-game items and such. The engraving tool sounds so much fun it would be a real shame if it wasn't made available to everyone at some point, not only backers. Maybe not immediately but some time later on or so, and hopefully for free and not as DLC.

The engraving tool sounds like a boon for interactivity: a must-have now that you mentioned it.

Of course, that won't stop me from upping my pledge from $48 to somewhere around $100, even though my own funds are limited -- the rewards and addons are slowly getting juicier. :)

    23. Creator The Great Goblin - Weresheep lover on April 9, 2013

The additions to existing pledges are much appreciated. Finding my message on a tree might prove tricky with the amount of others. Tricky but fun.

    24. Creator Watser on April 9, 2013

      @Alexandra
Under "manage your pledge", al you have to do is stay at the tier you are currently on, but add an additional sum equivalent to all the stretch goals you want. E.g. if you want beta testing + anthology, the extra would be 20+20=40 extra ontop of your tier

    25. Creator Bumvelcrowe on April 9, 2013

@Sami - Divine Divinity and Divinity 2 both definitely work on linux in Wine, as that's how I play both. Can't comment on Beyond Divinity, but I'd be surprised if it doesn't.

    26. Creator Alexandra Knickel on April 9, 2013

      Awesome! =)

Just one question, I would love to get the Divinity Anthology but I dont find where to add this? And is it available just only in english?

    27. Creator Dmitry Kozlovtsev on April 9, 2013

Now we just need 400 more for that sweet strech goals

    28. Creator Stabbey on April 9, 2013

@David - Look on the main Kickstarter page - It seems Scarlett has found her missing armor.

    29. Creator Asyreon on April 9, 2013

Finally ! Sincere congratulations Larian, you deserved your success !
...Now get back to work, miserable slaves or, by my troth, I swear you will taste of my rocket-powered sheep !

    30. Creator Watser on April 9, 2013

      altogether* z.z

    31. Creator Watser on April 9, 2013

      If you'll lose money on the add-on, don't do it all-together :/

    32. Creator Larian Studios LLC on April 9, 2013

To be fair guys - for some reason in our rush to get everything out we completely missed out on the fact that we couldn't keep track of the limited add-ons, so we'll extend to everybody who does the add-on. We'll manage somehow.

    33. Creator Sami on April 9, 2013

Why not make a Linux version of the games when you remastered them? I'm going to have to pass on them, since I can't find any mention of them working on Linux.

    34. Creator LordCrash - OD | OOoE | WoOS on April 9, 2013

      @John GT
Larian has to make clear how that "limited add-on" stuff will be handled, I agree.

    35. Creator John GT on April 9, 2013

If the Cloth Map is "limited supplies", do we have to tell you that we want one, thus to earmark one before you send out the surveys to confirm we bought it? Not sure you thought that "Get it while supplies last" statement out. Maybe this was one of your jokes?

    36. Creator gandalf.nho on April 9, 2013

Congratulations Larian! And about the bonuses, they consider only the tier value or the add-ons too?

    37. Creator David on April 9, 2013

      Bravo!

Now can you afford some more armour for Scarlett? At least give her some sensible shoes!

    38. Creator Franck Mahon on April 9, 2013

Same question as Milena: what is the Limited Edition Cloth Map? And how do you know you will be out of stock before the edge of the campaign?

    39. Creator Jonny on April 9, 2013

      yaaaay

    40. Creator LordCrash - OD | OOoE | WoOS on April 9, 2013

I guess the add-on games (DD and Anthology) will be available over their own digital shop (Larian Vault). So they don't have to share costs with digital distributors like gog or steam (though I like them as well, no question):
      https://www.larianvault.com/

    41. Creator JonNik on April 9, 2013

      Fantastic! Congrats Larian :)
Now Onwards for the million :D

P.S LOL at the mighty Bellegar encounters. Almost makes me wish I had an FB account...
      almost ;)

Pledge upping forthcoming (I think I'll gift someone a DD copy for starters 5$ pffft)

    42. Creator GhanBuriGhan - WOOS Wose on April 9, 2013

Hey, nice thank-you video. You are welcome :)

    43. Creator Milena on April 9, 2013

@ LC - Master Weresheep of Sin
yeah, make sense that they're the same ones :)

    44. Creator Karnacjr - Weresheep of Original Sin on April 9, 2013

Question for Larian, I personally have put in $98 total with the $65 tier pledge and $33 in add-ons, does this mean I get all the bonus things such as the engraving tool/credits acknowledgement or are you required to pledge at the $95 tier and up for these bonuses?

    45. Creator Datayum on April 9, 2013

I don't mean to irritate anyone, but how will we see engraving on tree trunks while playing with this overhead view ? :)

    46. Creator Slimcea on April 9, 2013

Hi, which service will the Anthology be on? Or will it be an actual physical software?

Also, one other question for the addon "Divine Divinity Digital Version (Remastered, HD): add $5". Is this the same as the one available on GoG/Steam now? Thanks.

    47. Creator Jared Fite on April 9, 2013

Congrats!! and AWESOME about the confirmation of Mac... I backed this project with the hope it would be for my platform, and I am excited to now know for sure I can play it! :D Thank you!

    48. Creator shibby191 on April 9, 2013

      Congrats on funding!

I've been looking at picking up the previous Divinity games and this clinched it. Just added $20 for the anthology. Will this be available via Steam only or will there be GOG codes too?
