Thank you Larian for the Linux version! Are you planning to port the editor to Linux as well? Or will it be even more work than porting the game? Anyway thank you, just to let you know I pledged for Linux and for the editor first and foremost because I haven't even played any Divinity game yet, but I will soon discover them since I'm downloading Divine Divinity from GOG right now!
I'm really happy to see finally reached the founding!!
I just wish you will find some italian distributor for a translation of the game...
Just a little thinking: probably if the game was in early development and not almost finished, you will receive a lot more of pledges... maybe like Torment!
YAY for the Mac version!
Late comment, but here it goes:
But could you please stop making the $95 tier so awesome? *whimper* I want to give you that much (by way of a partial refund by HBS if possible), but I just can't. (T__T) Post-campaign PayPal upgrades, please? Pretty please?
@Larian: The stretch goal image in this update is broken / doesn't display:http://www.larian.com/kickstarter/stretchgoals400k.jpg
Also, since this is an addon-update ... I'd love to have black t-shirt options as well as this picture on it: http://www.larian.com/kickstarter/coupleagreeingalot.jpg -- it's so cool.:)
It's funded and it's coming to Linux! You have my pledge and my appreciation.
They were bugged so they have been temporarily disabled, they are to be fixed today.
What's up with the missing paypal donate buttons on many of the reward tiers?
Swen/Larian said in the comment section that the Fan Day will be likely at August 9th (Friday), but that's only the current plan and not set in stone yet. :)
Seconding the call for advance warning on Fan Day date. Need to book holidays and would appreciate not spending a small fortune on travel and accommodation on short notice :]
congratulations! updated my pledge. let's get these stretch goals people!
Congrats! You're welcome times 41!
Wow! I'm so glad you got you funding. You benefit and we benefit! I have a pledge question. I am very interested in the engraving tool, but my current pledge is below that. I would happily pay the higher amount but the rewards are different and I like the ones I have now at my current level. Can I just pledge the extra and get the engraving tool?
Congrats! And great news on linux support.
Will paypal remain open for at least a couple of weeks after the kickstarter finishes? My budget is pretty much maxed out until next month. And will addons etc be available via PayPal? Backers are backers, whichever platform they donate through...
Calm down and relax. A DLC is something you have to pay a surplus for. The inscription tool is a gift to all the pledgers here, that's not the same thing. ;)
It's the same map, Swen confirmed that.
Thanks for the Linux support :) I was waiting for a confirm.
@Sami: I know DD & BD at least work perfectly with PlayOnLinux (which is basically wine), I've only tried the GOG versions though. With the custom desktop size in wine you can also play windowed this way, which I'm not sure is possible in Windows (?) with the GOG remastered versions.
I never ask for Linux support for old games, old engines etc.... Usually Wine is pretty good with this. I see it as more positive to encourage the devs to port their new games and engine. Which is happening for DOS and DC. For Larian it's also a positive experience I imagine to embrace Linux now, since they'll be able to provide support for these games on Valve's Steambox. Everybody wins...

Always nice to support environments in which weresheep are allowed to be created.
Love this update!
Gotta agree with Laker Doctor though ... I'm not particularly fond of DLC and a little wary regarding pre-order exclusive in-game items and such. The engraving tool sounds so much fun it would be a real shame if it wasn't made available to everyone at some point, not only backers. Maybe not immediately but some time later on or so, and hopefully for free and not as DLC.
The engraving tool sounds like a boon for interactivity: a must-have now that you mentioned it.
Of course, that won't stop me from upping my pledge from $48 to somewhere around $100, even though my own funds are limited -- the rewards and addons are slowly getting juicier. :)
The additions to existing pledges are much appreciated. Finding my message on a tree might prove tricky with the amount of others. Tricky but fun.
Under "manage your pledge", al you have to do is stay at the tier you are currently on, but add an additional sum equivalent to all the stretch goals you want. E.g. if you want beta testing + anthology, the extra would be 20+20=40 extra ontop of your tier
@Sami - Divine Divinity and Divinity 2 both definitely work on linux in Wine, as that's how I play both. Can't comment on Beyond Divinity, but I'd be surprised if it doesn't.
Just one question, I would love to get the Divinity Anthology but I dont find where to add this? And is it available just only in english?
Now we just need 400 more for that sweet strech goals
@David - Look on the main Kickstarter page - It seems Scarlett has found her missing armor.
Finally ! Sincere congratulations Larian, you deserved your success !
...Now get back to work, miserable slaves or, by my troth, I swear you will taste of my rocket-powered sheep !
If you'll lose money on the add-on, don't do it all-together :/
To be fair guys - for some reason in our rush to get everything out we completely missed out on the fact that we couldn't keep track of the limited add-ons, so we'll extend to everybody who does the add-on. We'll manage somehow.
Why not make a Linux version of the games when you remastered them? I'm going to have to pass on them, since I can't find any mention of them working on Linux.
Larian has to make clear how that "limited add-on" stuff will be handled, I agree.
If the Cloth Map is "limited supplies", do we have to tell you that we want one, thus to earmark one before you send out the surveys to confirm we bought it? Not sure you thought that "Get it while supplies last" statement out. Maybe this was one of your jokes?
Congratulations Larian! And about the bonuses, they consider only the tier value or the add-ons too?
Now can you afford some more armour for Scarlett? At least give her some sensible shoes!
Same question as Milena: what is the Limited Edition Cloth Map? And how do you know you will be out of stock before the edge of the campaign?
I guess the add-on games (DD and Anthology) will be available over their own digital shop (Larian Vault). So they don't have to share costs with digital distributors like gog or steam (though I like them as well, no question):
Fantastic! Congrats Larian :)
Now Onwards for the million :D
P.S LOL at the mighty Bellegar encounters. Almost makes me wish I had an FB account...
Pledge upping forthcoming (I think I'll gift someone a DD copy for starters 5$ pffft)
Hey, nice thank-you video. You are welcome :)
@ LC - Master Weresheep of Sin
yeah, make sense that they're the same ones :)
Question for Larian, I personally have put in $98 total with the $65 tier pledge and $33 in add-ons, does this mean I get all the bonus things such as the engraving tool/credits acknowledgement or are you required to pledge at the $95 tier and up for these bonuses?
I don't mean to irritate anyone, but how will we see engraving on tree trunks while playing with this overhead view ? :)
Hi, which service will the Anthology be on? Or will it be an actual physical software?
Also, one other question for the addon "Divine Divinity Digital Version (Remastered, HD): add $5". Is this the same as the one available on GoG/Steam now? Thanks.
Congrats!! and AWESOME about the confirmation of Mac... I backed this project with the hope it would be for my platform, and I am excited to now know for sure I can play it! :D Thank you!
Congrats on funding!
I've been looking at picking up the previous Divinity games and this clinched it. Just added $20 for the anthology. Will this be available via Steam only or will there be GOG codes too?
