      Been waiting patiently almost there!
      Larian love the games and music looking forward to the future

      The squirrel knight is the summary of everything I don't like about the game : the goofiness.

      Please make a game with the same engine but a completely different, dark and serious tone. I bet a lot of people will be interested.

      I concur on the need for a Linux version

    4. Timo Gurr on

      Please consider releasing the Divinity: Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition for Linux as well. It took way longer for Divinity: Original Sin 1 and was a rough ride but the outcome is great and I'd love to see Divinity: Original Sin 2 released for Linux as well.

    5. BrecMadak on

      Wow and much respect for you guys! You are a so much dedicated and passionate team!
      I hope this time you won't remove some of our favourite spells in DE, as done in Enhanced Edition.

    6. Adrian Tai on

      it's been an awesome journey, thanks once again for everything and especially Definitive Edition.

    7. Melvin Co on

      This is awesome!
      I just grabbed a Steam Controller. Now to figure out how to learn the controller as well.

    8. Raze_Larian on

      @Christian Moesgaard
      Saves will not be transferable; there are too many changes to maintain save compatibility. With a couple months left to go, though, you may finish the original release first, anyway.

      Awesome! I love the Definitive editions and the Squirrel Knight mini companion makes me way happier than it probably should. Can't wait to play through again, ...and again. (....and maybe a third time).

    10. Christian Moesgaard on

      Really Cook! Lots of great changes.

      However, I’ve had a game with friends going for a while. Is it possible for us to transfer our save, or are we consigned to play the original until we finish?

      Thanks for a great adventure!

      You guys are amazing, and continue to deliver more to the players AFTER the game is made than any other company I've seen. This is a big reason why you have such a loyal following. I have a co-worker who would love to but DOS2, but he only has a MAC. He'll have to settle tor DOS. ;) Thanks for revamping and allowing us to both receive the new version, and to continue with the original.

      Gosh I love you guys. Seriously have made me a lifetime fan.

      @Jinx
      You won't need to do anything extra to get the Definitive Edition on GOG.

      .

      @Matt Uhl, Kiwiblazer
      There are no plans for a Switch port; there are engine optimizations being done for XBox and PS4, but much more would need to be done to run on the Switch hardware.

      .

      @Bruce Wang
      A Mac version was not promised. There have not been any announcements about a possible Mac (or Linux) port at this time.

      .

      @Vladimir Chigrin
      The update for people who own D:OS 2 will only be for the PC version. It is not possible to get a console version (the publisher for the console versions was not involved in the PC version, there are issues with supplying digital codes on console, and managing exceptions to automatic updates on Steam and GOG isn't feasible).

      .

      @TLPS
      You are correct; console to PC crossplay is not currently planned. Microsoft does support XBox to Win 10 crossplay, but whether that will be feasible depends on the patch timing and procedures after release, among other things.

      .

      @cb.spike
      Never is a long time.

      .

      @Nakano
      No, the Definitive Edition update will be automatic through Steam or GOG, so there will be no way to switch.

    15. Radon on

      Please add support for absolutly abitrary resolutions, resolution scale and HDR in the DefinitiveEdition. That HDR support should be upwards compatible to 12bit and even higher contrast ratios then today. Just do it!

    16. Warren Rehman on

      You all rock, thank you for your amazing work.

    17. Kiwiblazer on

      Hi

      What about a Nintendo Switch version?

    18. Tyler Aaron Scott Bingham on

      Are we gonna get a official steam controller configuration in this new edition? My current one is good but I always appreciate official support.

      Will there be additional voice work for the main character? It was kind of ironic when I chose Sibille due to her being voiced by Alix Regan only to discover that the MC had the least voiced dialogue in the party.

      I'm not so happy.

      Apparently the "definitive" version I backed isn't a definitive version at all. There's going to be NO HDR support on PC. This will only be available on consoles. So any couch gamer owning a 4k projector or TV is stuck with a version that has no HDR support?

      https://wccftech.com/divinity-original-sin-2-native-4k-hdr-xb1x/

      I must say I'm pretty dissapointed with this. I'd like to have a version that's not stuck in the 8bit color spectrum.

      Will the definitive edition be available on mac at least?

    22. Archangel on

      You guys, along with CD Project Red, are my favorite developers because you're not constantly looking for ways to make a quick cheap buck out of the people who love your games :D

    23. Gabriel on

      You guys are legends. Thank you for making the best RPG I've played with my friends since Neverwinter Nights 2. The extra work you've done is really incredible, so thanks for that as well! Looking forward to seeing what you guys do next!!!

    24. Matthew Guillemette on

      Will the Definitive edition be standalone, or can you port your current DOS2 game over and continue playing? I'm a good 10+ hours in, and would hate to lose all of that progress... (I don't have much time for games these days, but this one sucked me in!!)

      Thank you guys for kneeling into your game again as you did with the first part.
      Another call to excellence above and beyond. You put the bar really high for other studios.
      Vielen, herzlichen Dank an das gesamte Larian team. You guys rock. :)

      Any plans to change the armour system?
      I feel that's the biggest issue with DOS2, and honestly don't know if I'd be able to bring myself to replay the game with Definitive Addition if that system isn't changed.

      I could yammer on at length about all the reasons why I feel it's bad design and ruins a lot of what made the combat in the first game fun, but that's all been said often enough before.

    27. Al Hunt on

      I hope (pretty please!) that you got the narrator to do the rest of the narration! Her voice is amazing, and adds SO much to the game.

    28. Emil Amundsen on

      Wow! <3
      I can't remember ever seeing a developer actually changeing the narrative of a big part of the game on request of the players. Respect, awe and love <3

      I've been playing since I picked up Divine Divinity back in the day and I love how you support your customers/fans. This is why I'm picking up a full price console copy and feel great doing it. I get another great version of a game I already have and I get to support a wonderful development company. Cheers!

      How about a Mac version? Part of the reason I backed this was that I thought a Mac version was a given, since the first game was available on Mac. Very disappointed to find out that’s not the case to date.

      Nice! After the Enhanced Edition to DOS1 was announced literally days after I finished my playthrough, I decided to sit on my copy of 2 for a while before playing in case you did update the PC version post-launch, so that I could get all the goodies (time to play such deep and expansive games is sadly short in my busy life, so I'm unlikely to do second playthroughs of any big games). Glad to see it was worth it - I can't wait to dig in!

      Thanks to the team for all the hard work you do. This may have been asked and answered before but I haven't seen it. Any chance for a switch version of the game? I'd love to be able to take it on the go. Thanks

    47. Tom Tjarks on

      And this is why I don't even blink at the thought of buying the game again *at full price* for the console. Thank you all for your hard work.

      This is how all of the gaming industry should function. Respect and dedication. I have never seen this level on other projects/companies. I'm a big fan of Blizzard and Larian, both "huge", the scale is not the issue as long as there is dedication and respect for the community. I've been a supporter since the D:OS and will stay faithful... Thank you so very much for your awesome work.

      Hah, now i'm glad i held off playing!

      I figured you guys were going to do this again and it would be worth waiting for. Can't wait!
