About this project
Welcome to the world of Scissor Sisters, a fantastical reality where the time stream is a living and well-traveled path between wheres and whens. We think you'll like it here, and we'd love for you to stay, check the place out and help us fund printing of this massive, sweeping story.
So, JOIN US! Be a part of our comic-making journey and enjoy one hell of a tale of two women in a struggle against time itself - a struggle to find each other and a struggle to remain together against a cabal of time-strewn manipulators obsessed with ending them.
Scissor Sisters is a 120-page graphic novel - the story of Candi and Ash, a pair of women separated by millennia but whose love is an inevitability. They are thrown together in the least likely of times and places and hunted by The Continuum, a cross-time conspiracy of the elite and the sinister deeply frightened of the destiny of the couple they refer to as The Sisters.
Scissor Sisters is co-written by Kevin LaPorte (Vicious Circus, Last Ride for Horsemen, Roadkill du Jour, Scales of Time, and The Absentee) and Erica J. Heflin (Zenescope's Wonderland, Cosmic Times' Flesh of White, and Antithesis) and illustrated by Marvel and DC veteran Rich Perotta (Scales of Time) with colors by Vito Potenza.
This is just the first of several planned volumes of Scissor Sisters, all with the same committed team of creators, and our plans go far beyond crowdfunding, to include broad distribution through comic shops and other retail channels! But, first, we have to pay for the initial print run, which is the purpose of this Kickstarter campaign and where you come in!

Risks and challenges
There are few to NO risks in the completion and fulfillment of this project. As the Kickstarter campaign launches, ALL pages are complete in terms of line art, with only some coloring and lettering remaining. We are committed to having ALL production work completed within three months of the end of the Kickstarter campaign, so printing and fulfillment may be accomplished by December, 2016 at latest.
Printer delays are obviously beyond our control, but we are working with a high-end, reliable company that we are confident will deliver within the prescribed timeframe for fulfillment.
Our first obligation is to you, the BACKER. Given your support and trust in us, we aim to have the creative aspect of the project COMPLETE before there is even funding in hand, to ensure you get what you paid for at the highest possible level and within the shortest possible timeframe!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
