A group of sprightly elderly women in a Lithuanian village are the last in a long line of traditional folk singers with ancient roots.
In a region of Lithuania known as the Land of Songs, five grandmothers may be the last voices of their village's ancient folk singing tradition.

Exactly the type of work we need being done by self-determined artists - thank you. Thank you, this is the type of work worthy of song. Our knowledge base with the pace of change is transforming our very culture's beneath our feet - you are acting to preserve an important part of a significant culture who like many smaller cultures (who sit between larger cultures) find it difficult to preserve traditional ways. Sadly when they realize it, it may be too late. But your preservation of their songs will ensure future generations who chose can know and sing these again! Good luck on your journey!

      Good luck!

As another member of the Baltic diaspora (Estonian, not Lithuanian) I couldn't let this go by without chipping in.
