Hey Lance, I've still not heard from you with a solution to my issue, can you please get in touch with me?
Lance, the decks just arrived today. Thanks for sorting out things out - the cards *are* lovely and good companions for the coloured version, so I'm all happy now.
Lance, I've still not received either of the two decks I pedged for. I've emailed youe support address but had no response, nor from the KS messages...
Knock Knock? Anyone still here?
Hey Lance, I haven't had a response to the messages I've sent so I'm posting this here.
My decks came in and I received two black, I ordered one black and one white.
Please let me know how you would like me to ship my extra black deck back so you can send me a white deck.
Just got the 2 decks. Wow! Great stuff Lance. Thanks!
Scan the QR Code and all will be revealed ;) Message me directly if you cannot scan the code on the bottom of the box and I'll get you fixed up.
I got mine today. Thanks, Lance!
Just received my deck in the mail today and I gotta say i'm impressed. It took a while but I'm glad it's finally here. I do wanna ask about one of the Joker cards tho. The reverse side of one of 'em has a partial misprint of a 7 Diamonds, is that intentional?
My deck of cards arrived today and I just wanted to say that the design and artwork are excellent. Well worth waiting for.
Must say that the card stock and finish on these cards is fantastic! Well done these are by far the finest cards I have ever owned.
This comment has been removed by Kickstarter.
Ah, thanks! Somehow I missed all that information in your project description.
Thank you for your concern, those are not misprints ;)
Those are called Gaffs. They are used by magicians to perform certain magic effects. If you scan the QR code on the bottom of the deck, it will take you to a hidden page on my website that tells you exactly how to use those cards to perform a little bit of magic :D
Also, white deck came with two King of Hearts. Other backers might want to check their decks before using them to play any game with money stakes. Hahaha.
Issue with printing of black set: one of the Jokers has a stripe of the Seven of Diamonds on its back. Can send a photo if you let me know an email address.
Black set printing problem: one of the Jokers has a stripe of the Seven of Diamonds on the back. Can send you a photo if you provide an email address.
I received my cards today! Very cool! Definitely worth waiting for!
Any thought wen the $20 level will ship?
Hope you guys are checking the Updates page: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/lancetmiller/lance-t-millers-steampunk-playing-cards-black-and/posts ;)
Neither has Lance, at this point.
i still havent received a deck...
@Lance Mmk cool.
Right now, I only ship through USPS.... UPS is too expensive if you're not shipping hundreds of packages every single month.
@Lance Will the decks be shipped via UPS or USPS?
Great News! USPCC emailed yesterday and said that the Black and White Edition cards will be printed the week of August 6th and will ship within the following 2-3 weeks!!!
So, now that we have an official timeline, I will begin releasing details and trailers for the effects that come with the decks. Make sure to pay particular attention to my Facebook page: http://facebook.com/lancemillerdecks and the main Kickstarter project update thread for more info.
With regard to the surveys, I have received many of them ~ including your personal / direct emails. Don't lose heart if I have not responded to you (yet). I have easily received 4x more emails directly related to this project than any other. I will make sure that every backer gets exactly what they paid for and will be contacting you soon if I have not done so already. If you have not filled out your survey yet, I really need you to do so. My ability to get these out to everyone in a timely manner hinges on having an excellent logistics response and unfortunately, Kickstarter does not let me contact a backer directly unless they have messaged me or filled out a survey first.
Thank you all for your kindness and patience whilst this project has come to reality. I want to let you all know that I have been very closely working with Bicycle to learn their methodologies and project management policies so that we never have a 6-7 month (public) wait time on any projects moving forward. You all have my personal guarantee that I will do everything in my power to ensure timely and most cost effective delivery of new products in subsequent endeavors.
Most Humble Regards,
Lance T. Miller
@Bradley, I think we'll hear from Lance the moment he knows anything. USPCC seems to have this project on the back burner, so the cards probably haven't been printed yet.
Have any of the decks been shipped yet?
@Sinclairz No problem. I wonder how many people are not getting them personalized.
@Sam Green: Thanks, Same!
@Sinclairz I asked Lance the same thing yesterday and he told me that basically he carefully slips off the plastic, signs and dates the box face and then carefully slips the plastic back on.
Lance - what does "personalized" mean, please?
I almost forgot that I backed this project and then I got the survey asking me for my shipping address.
Hey Lance, I want to ask about how i should fill out the survey.
I backed for 3 decks and i want 2 black, 1 white. what do i do?
Outstanding! Looks like we are getting very close. Thanks!
@Lance Any more word on the progress?
Gary Please send me a PM :)
Thank you for your thoughtful and through response - by all means I am not blaming you or anything. I have read your updates and I'm just excited about the playing cards. I saw that Bicycle was backed up in the process and I'm sure you are even more restless trying to get some answers and your project moving. I think this is an awesome opportunity for you to work with Bicycle and think it's truly amazing, I was just hoping to get these in time for my friend's birthday =)
Thank you again and I hope they update you soon as well!
You are always welcome to ask questions :D As David has pointed out, here as elsewhere, I always try to keep up with a lot of the threads and respond in a timely manner. However, as a personal preference, I try only to update you guys when there are actual updates and not just say soon, soon, soon...
I too have been asking a lot of the same questions of Bicycle since I delivered the files; Mainly: When will they be done? They've had my files for a long time (since the Kickstarter ended) and hadn't acted on them, not because they didn't want to, or because they were stalling, but because they are literally that busy with other projects. I am blessed to be able to work on these projects with them but I must exercise patience with them as I ask you to have patience with me. Not many people are afforded the opportunity to work with them and so I take the time that they are inactive on a project and continue to work on my art and prepare for more deck designs to bring to you all.
I do understand all of your want to see this deck finished. I am right there with you! The most current news that I have for you all as of this point is that USPCC will be adding me to the print queue when they get back from their week long vacation (yes USPCC takes an entire week as a company) around the July 4th Holiday. They will have a defined print time for me and I will relay that to you all!!! :D I am quite excited to see this finally coming to fruition and getting to see all of you happy with your cards in hand. I know I will be.
I do hope this answers your question Gary, or at least provides some solace in the wait. USPCC is working diligently on a lot of projects and mine happens to be one of them. However, we all must remember, their primary business is Casinos; they will put anyone on the back burner to complete their Casino order obligations, and I am no exception there. This has been probably the biggest reason, they took so long to get to my cards.
Jake, I don't see how this is not a fair question, considering there are people in January already inquiring about the status of the project. If you have some information you would like to share, I'm all ears.
Why is asking questions "whining"? Maybe you need to settle down and quit judging people just because they ask questions.
From talking to Lance and backing other card projects, I don't think Gary's question can be answered, and it's not fair to say that things "are very close now". USPCC projects can run into problems even after the printing has started. It could take 4-6 weeks for them to be printed, or it could take 2-3 more months. Lance can only be sure about what *has* happened, not what will.
Gary have you not read a single update or comment from Lance? Things are very close now so settle down and quit whining.
I only pledged $14... but it's been seven months already - do you have an estimate of when it will actually be completed and when the decks will go out?
If I had spent more money on this I'd be worried...... even so I think this is taking way longer then it should.
Hey guys, I'm posting regular updates on this thread: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/lancetmiller/lance-t-millers-steampunk-playing-cards-black-and/posts
Most of you were already aware of this but some appear to not be in the loop. So just posting here for the sake of trying to keep everyone on the same page with progress updates.

I am always happy to chat or answer any questions you may have.
Lance has been great and I really appreciate everything he has done for the people involved.
Sorry - by "above average" I meant "better than average". I'm backing projects that are already 6 months late and have no ship date in sight.
Are you serious? 2-3 months late is above average for a Kickstarter project.
