When shall we three meet again?
What happens before this play begins? We know Lady Macbeth has lost a child, and waits for her husband to return from war. But what of the child? And why, after such a loss, does this couple end up with blood on their hands? I'm passionate about creating a story that explores these unanswered questions. What leads a woman to act with such ruthlessness, bravery and violence?
I'm making a short film based on Lady Macbeth and her journey from motherhood to murder.
I am an actress living and working in London, and want to create fresh and original work championing women in Shakespeare.
The film is directed by Owen Horsley (RSC, Cheek By Jowl), starring Grace Andrews and Orlando James, with music recorded by Janneke Brits.
The funds raised will cover some of the costs involved in making a short 10-15 minute film. I'm working with a small team of creatives, including director, cinematographer, sound technician, actors and musicians. We are filming in East Sussex over the course of a weekend.
The film will culminate in a London screening in late Spring. The evening will consist of live readings and musical performances - all on the theme of women and motherhood. We aim to do this on Shakespeare's birthday, April 23rd.
If you are able to donate anything you can to help fund my project, I would be extremely grateful.

Risks and challenges
The film's budget includes cushioning for unexpected costs and insurance for all equipment. I have scouted the film's location to ensure everything will be safe, and supporting people will be on site. I will prioritise the team's wellbeing. I am entirely in control of the film's release, and will make sure this is protected.
