Logan Square neighbors have enjoyed fresh bread, pastries and crepes daily at La Boulangerie for 3 years (2010-2013). After being rewarded by the Time Out Magazine for the best baguette in town, our success has grown exponentially. Lines of customers outside our doors were not surprising on the week ends to buy French Crepes or Crognets (latest croissant donut trend). We have been featured in many Newspapers and TV shows such as Good Morning America and Fox News.
Because we have not been able to renew our lease at 2569 N Milwaukee Avenue, we have been forced to close. Many of our customers have expressed disapointments about the closing and are asking about the next location. We have another location at 915 W Belmont as well as a food truck, but our major goal this year is to open back in the Logan Square community and continue to serve our loyal followers.
Specialized in the production of quality French bakery goods, we have the knowledge, experience and successful products. We have the customer base (3,000+/month). We have the equipements. We are now just missing the necessary funds for the administrative costs and contruction works of our next place. The funds raised will be used to pay the city permits, the insurance, the deposit on the lease, the architect, the paint and construction, the plumbing and electricity.
Our breads and pastries are made fresh daily with natural ingredients. Examples of our breads are traditional baguette, brioche, loaf, and ciabatta. Examples of our French pastries are macarons, mini tarts, eclairs, petit choux and croissants. Since we focus on providing fresh quality products, we make our crepes and sandwiches in front of the customer when ordered.
This Kickstarter project is our way to involve all the local community that has been supporting us in the last 3 years to build a new and better French bakery together. We are offering great rewards to thank you, such has free baguettes everyday!
