Battleground competition

One of the fascinating aspects about Cabals: The Board Game is that in addition to being a Non-Collectible Card Game the board layout plays a massive part in battles and it’s possible to build your own from 6 and 3 tile board pieces (pictured).

What we’d like to give you the chance to do now is actually design your own. Just like you will be able to build your own battleground when setting up the game we would like you to suggest 6 tile and 3 tile board pieces and how they will be combined to make the overall battleground. To do this go to the Community Forum and use the specially created board game tile smilies to show us your ideas.

The best 3 ideas will receive 1000 Influence for use in the digital version Cabals: Magic & Battle Cards. Additionally, we will add a prototype card, printed during the early development of the board game, to rewards for up to 120 backers who have entered this battleground competition. That’s right, just by entering you may receive a priceless piece of Cabals memorabilia. As if that wasn’t enough all entries will be considered for addition to the rulebook, included with every copy of the game, and even the digital version. The rulebook will contain a number of battleground layouts that are recommended for different types of gameplay and number of players. You have the chance to contribute to these and have your name credited as the creator of that battleground layout in the actual distributed game.

Please read all the rules carefully at and submit your ideas by June 8, 00:00 PDT.

The Card list may be useful when creating your battlegrounds.

Neat idea. Why didn't you host this on BGG where there's chance that new people can actually see it?
