FOURPLAY is a collection of honest, graphic stories of sexual intimacy. With the film, we intend to honor our unconventional understanding of human sexuality, with its complications and idiosyncrasies, rendering our work with humor, sincerity, and love. No pornography. No brutality. Just sexuality, strange and true.
In AUSTIN, an unmarried couple find an unusual way to resolve their debate about having a baby. In WEST HAVEN, an older woman falls for her pastor’s dog. In TAMPA, a poorly endowed gay man finds unexpected company in a public restroom. And in SAN FRANCISCO, a professional transvestite hooker faces a challenging prospect on a business call to Marin County.
Our mission is to rescue film-sex from mere titillation, pornography, and digression, with an eye toward discovering its cathartic, healing nature. We intend for these films—whether comedic, surreal, tender, or harrowing—to challenge you, entertain you, subvert your notions of normal sexual behavior, and hopefully give you something to think and talk about.
FOURPLAY funding provided in part by a grant from the Austin Film Society's Texas Filmmakers Production Fund and Jim McKay and Michael Stipe's artist-incubator, C-Hundred Film Corp. TAMPA is produced by Jason Wehling, written by Carlos Treviño, photographed by PJ Raval, production designed by Caroline Karlen and our set is designed by multi-hyphenate artist Heyd Fontenot.
With your help, we'll finance the production of TAMPA in May, paying for set construction, costuming, and a wonderfully over qualified cast and crew. Your donation can be tax-deductible; please contact me via the email link for 501(c)3 info.
