Hello to all my friends on kickstarter from around the world.
off I would like to welcome you to my very first kickstarter project. I
must say that this is an amazing opportunity for me and I appreciate
you for visiting my page and taking interest in me. Let me start off by
telling you who I am. My name is Kyle Abner. I was born and raised and
still living in Northern Kentucky just a few miles south of Cincinnati,
Ohio. I have been playing guitar since I was 14, self taught. I started
to sing around 17. When I turned 21 that's when I really started getting
into the music scene. Mainly playing acoustic shows. That is also the
time that I started writing my songs. Everything I write means something
to me and came from a personal life experience. All I know is music. I
truly believe that music is the only thing that transcends race,
political party or religion. It is the only thing that I have seen in
my life that can bring opposing sides together and bring peace to a
are so many artists, good artists out there now but a lot of them
sound similar. That's where I come in. I, as well as others, believe
that I have a new sound. Something unique. Through my research, I have
found that most artists starting out need to pay for their own EP. You
probably know this by browsing kickstarter.com
This is where you come in. You are the people of the world that can
help get musicians such as myself a chance to make a career and a life
out of something that I absolutely love to do and in return can write
music, embrace a new sound, and give it to you. I would love nothing more to
make people happy with my music as others have done for me. You can check out live covers that I
have done in the kitchen of my apartment at www.youtube.com/kyleabner
. I have 2 Originals up as well so you can get a sense of my writing ability and style. Those are "Every Part Of Me" and "I Guess You've Had Enough". Those can also be found on my youtube page or you can hear them at www.numberonemusic.com/kyleabnermusic.
What I am asking from you is to give me a chance. Help me bring these dreams to reality. I am asking for your help so I can;
A) Afford a Producer
B) Hire Professional Musicians and Come Up With New Arrangements of My Songs
C) Give The Producer Take Time To Master The Album
D) Promotion of The EP
seems like a lot but as I was saying, this isn't a recording studio in
someones basement. I would be working in a professional recording
facility where several Major Label acts have recorded. I will be working with a team of people who work withUniversal
Records, Warner Brothers, Curb, Sony, Atlantic, Wind up and many more.
From Major Label marketing and showcasing to a network of Producers,
Musicians and Engineers whose credits include Elvis Costello, Robert
Plant, Alison Krause, Bob Dylan, Big & Rich, Taylor Swift, Jewel,
Dixie Chicks, Sugarland, T-Bone Burnett, Joaquin Phoenix, Reece
Witherspoon, Little Big Town, HBO, ABC, NBC, CBS, Letterman, Leno and
many others. None of your
money will go to my travel expenses such as gas, hotel, food or anything
else that I would have to pay for outside of the music Production. All
of your money goes to making this album. Anything over what I pledge
will also go to merchandise. All of the rewards such as CD's, stickers,
t-shirts, or if I travel to play a show for you are all paid by me.
Here is the kicker. If I don't reach my goal then I don't receive a dime of anyone's money. So please help me make this happen!!

Risks and challenges
The Risks and Challenges of making this EP:
I shouldn't really have any problems with what I plan to do. As soon as I receive the money is when I get in touch with my contacts and set everything up. Hopefully within a week or two of having the money I should be in the studio recording. It will be the busy holiday season at that time so the only downfall would be having to wait until the first of the year. I will try everything I can to not make that happen. After recording has started, it shouldn't take more than a couple days to get the songs right.
Like I said, there shouldn't me any problems or complications.
As far as rewards go. If something doesn't seem to pan out, I will be more than happy to work with you personally to see if we can make something work. For example.. Me coming to play an acoustic set for you. If you pledge the amount for that reward, we can personally set up the time that would best benefit to you and myself.
