Audrey don't flip out. They don't have to send updates weekly. After funding most do monthly or bi monthly. You must not have backed many projects. I have one project that's 2 years behind it's release date. So relax. Noria is doing good

    2. L. Sherwin on October 25

Hey, thought I'd check and see if there was an update I may have missed.

Could we get another update sometime soon. Very much looking forward to this project coming to fruition.

Why isn't there been any updates since September? This seems to be the only project that I've pledged that goes quiet after reaching it's pledge target.

      @Daniel,

Yes, we will provide a survey to all backers, and you will be able to change your shipping address. Also, if you have any questions specific to your order, feel free to email us directly at contact@noriahome.com

    5. Daniel Scott Ambler on September 13

I moved since making my pledge. Is there a way to adjust my address?

    6. Noria Home Creator on September 13

      @Kathy Shelton
Noria will function without the WiFi connection -- just plug it in and you can control it from the unit itself.

Custom installations are certainly possible and we are glad Noria will open up new possibilities for our backers. Please be aware, though, custom installation is at your own risk; our safety certifications will only be for standard window installations.

I've pre-ordered this hoping to put it in a horse trailer. My thoughts were to put it in a drop down window and make an enclosure. I don't have wi fi or bluetooth anything. Just hoping it'll work to plug it in. Do you think this will work for the horse trailer?

Hi Everyone out there in the World. I've told my wife and son about Noria, they said good luck. Then I told them I was backing the Boom box you wear on your wrist, again they said good luck. Then I told them about the Stainless Steel Scissors, I backed. Well BOTH said they were going to take away my internet access! They don't know I now have a Smart phone.

Thank you, everyone, for your support! Sorry to leave those of you hanging who have asked for updates recently, but we have been hard at work and have a significant update planned within the next two weeks. We are on track for our timeline of testing, production beginning this fall, and delivery of your Noria units next spring. Thank you all again for helping us bring Noria to the world!

Any updates on the air conditioner??? I paid 5 bucks to get update reports from this project and now I am starting regret paying that. Give all 3700 backers something even you guys failed the project, they deserve some feedback!

    12. Andrew Givens on August 11

I would also second HomeKit or wifi cloud control if possible.

Thank you, everyone, for your support! Our apologies for not providing updates recently, but we have been hard at work completing prototypes for testing throughout the remainder of the summer. Our team has been working seven days a week.

We have a significant update planned within the next few weeks. We are on track for our timeline of testing, production beginning this fall, and delivery of your Noria units next spring. Thank you all again for helping bring Noria to the world!

    22. Korruptor on July 10

Now is a good time for an update :)

    23. John Redford on June 28

Belated congratulation from me too! This looks so nice that I ordered two. I'm eager to get one, but would much rather wait a few extra months if that's what it takes to get good build quality and reliability. That's hard to do on a new product! We backers would be happy to spread good PR about this when we finally get them, but take the time to really get it right.

    24. Cynthia Thillet on June 19

This will be perfect our my tiny house. I want mine ASAP! lol. Great product! Great timing.

An unavoidable cause of air conditoner noise is due to fan speed. It would be great if the Noria would have a very slow fan speed setting, which could be used during the night while sleeping. Without changing any other part of the design, it could be a way to minimize the noise level.

glad to be a part of a great project...a fabulous solution to the bulky window air conditioners...

    29. Harry J. Akiereisen on June 7

      This is a great project.
I realize that no project is done on time, but this project really needs to get done prior to next summer.
Let's face it, we need it for the summer.
      LOL!

I am looking forward to using the unit in my bedroom and not using the whole house ac. If it is as quiet as you hope I will be able to sleep with it running. Good luck.

Be happy to be part of any beta testing projects! =)

    33. Chuck Coulson on June 6

I am one of the many here hoping for a vertical solution. But, beyond the oil/compressor issue, I doubt we will ever see this thought the current design. Part of Noria's "secret sauce" is their airflow design of pushing cool air up (through the top of the unit) and taking in the warmer air that gets pushed down through the bottom. Rotating the unit 90 degrees would break this model...

It is great to hear that you exceeded your goal ! I am looking forward to receiving your product and trying it out.. Been looking for something like this for years and it will be a good fit for me. Good luck !!!!

    35. Dawn LaValley on June 6

Congrats! This is my most ( for lack of a better word) expensive investment to date on Kickstarter. Most of the projects I have been happy with. One project was supposed to be done 2 yrs ago but I am keeping me fingers crossed...lol. I look forward to this air comditioner based soley on size & weight. I cannot lift those heavy conditioners any more. But for one last summer I can do it b/c my Noria will be here next year :D. Be Calm & Create On!

Hi! Looking forward to this unit. Just wondering why is shipping $5 less on Indiegogo when you purchase 1 unit? Any chance Kickstarter backers will be able to reclaim any difference in the shipping?

    37. Jo Ann Loniewski on June 6

Looking forward with excitement to seeing this air conditioner-- will the expandable louvres to fit in window expand enough for a 40" inch space? Or have ability to attach an extra set? B/c one of the Windows I plan to use it in is a little bit wider....

    38. Big Jeffv on June 6

So if my math is right they are (Kickstarter) is getting like 116k just for the name and the space on their site. That's more then I make in a year. I am in the wrong business I am going to start my own and call it Jeffstarter!

Just a joke kicky don't ban me! No one would start anything on Jeffstarter anyway.......

They have stated that there will only be the horizontal Mount for a specific Window size between 21'' to 36'' wide. In a double hinged window. you may have to Custom Modify your window to fit the unit

    43. Christa Pinder on June 4

I have backed for one unit but have very narrow Windows that slide a sideways. Is there a separate mount that I could get for it?

I'd still like to get two, it just doesn't make a lot of sense. They sent out an email to early bird backers this morning in which they said we could add more units, but the "stay frosty" package for $549 is available to everyone, not just early bird backers. I'm not saying I demand special treatment because I backed before other people, but I'd be giving up my extra savings.

    47. CJ Beckwith on June 3

      @Dominic

I think it's probably because as an early bird backer, you chose 1 unit.

The early bird options with 2 units must have been gone by the time you decided to switch. So if you switch from an early bird unit to getting two units, you get it at Kickstarter price, not early bird price.

Hi. Just a quick question that may have already been answered: I'm an early bird backer, and I'd like to get two units. Why would it cost me $549 plus shipping instead of $498 plus shipping?

    49. Missing avatar

      Tom on June 3

Just decided to get two of these. Can these be stacked in the same window if needed?

Jo Ann Mannino on June 3

I'm in for two units, I have large casement windows with 41 inch openings - any suggestions on hot to efficiently fill that extra space, or please advise if that gap will cause instability for the unit.
