Dear backers,

Before giving the shipment updates,   we would like to clarify again that Bean is made in Taiwan and shipped from Taiwan as many backers thought they are made in China.   We would also like to remind the backers that Bean is the only LCD resin printer that is CE and FCC certified.  We promised it during the campaign so we spent a lot of money and time to do this.  The certification process took almost 5 months and causes 60% of the delay.   As this is the first time that we do the certification,  we did not know that it will take so much time.   It is a very complicated and time consuming process.

1)  EU shipment update:    The fulfillment center told us that they will start shipping the packages next Monday.     We have received emails from some backers that the items in the mail sent by the fulfillment center do not match the actual order.    Here is the explanation from the fulfillment center,  SpiralGalaxy.    They told us that they did not have the breakdown for each box but they have the total number of items for the container so they just allocated the items to each box on the spreadsheet to clear the custom.   Unfortunately,  they sent out this fabricated item list to the backers.  They assured us that the boxes are prepacked by Kudo3D and are not opened so every item should be intact.

2)  US shipment update:    All printers to US were picked up by the freight forwarder last Tuesday.  They are in the customs now waiting to be loaded on the cargo ship on the 24th. It will take 4 weeks on the sea,  10 days to clear the customs and then another week to Kentucky.  For those who have not paid,  we sent out standard packages.   There will be an extra charge for mailing a small box for addons.  Below are some photos before loading to the ship.

3) Japan shipment update:   We are assembling printers now for Japanese backers.   Once we have accumulated the first 200 units,  we will mail them out gradually.    We will start sending shipping notices in  10 days.

Best Regards,

      @Glenn Kelly,
      If I read that right, that's for the people that didn't pay on time and have extra supplies besides the standard Bean package.

      Thank you for the update. As far as the "extra charge for mailing a small box for addons" for US Backers, I hope I am misinterpreting this. I have already paid for my package, add-ons, and additional shipping charges. If you are suggesting that we pay yet another fee for add-ons already paid for, I think KUDO 3D should pay any additional charges as a small gesture and apology for they delay.

      Thanks for the update, but I have to be honest. These wait times are absolutely ridiculous. The updates have had plenty of information, but since backing this printer, I've moved on to another printer because the 1 yr wait time is just too much.

      I'm hoping the quality is so outstanding that I forget all the hassle, but I'm not holding my breath.
