Midwinter is a graphic novel that was conceived back in spring of 2011 by two passionate people who, more than anything, wanted to tell a story using their favorite medium.
After two years of writing and editing, we dedicated ourselves to drawing the comic; now we need your help to produce the rest of volume 1 and print it!
Midwinter is a blend of fantasy and sci-fi elements. The easiest way to label it is as an Urban Fantasy, where magic is still present in a high tech, urban society.
We aim to have a well-researched, immersive, character driven story that's mature, fun, and engaging. We wanted to really push the boundaries on what a protagonist is supposed to be and explore the gray areas when the answer isn't simply black or white.
Inspired by manga, the comic itself is in toned black and white and the book will be the size of a standard, paperback volume. It reads left to right and will total at approximately 200 pages.
For this campaign we have standard tiers that appeal to a wide audience of people alongside specialized ones that include niche perks. If you're interested in any of the specials, make sure to snatch one up before they're gone!
Below is a graphic to better understand our standard tiers in addition to some explanations of our incentives. To see your choices of buttons, posters, and keychains, go here!

"Archmage" Become a Gemini Hospital Employee
You or a character you design can become a doctor, nurse, or security guard employed by Gemini Hospital! Though these are background characters, they will be recurring throughout the story and will pop up within the confines of the hospital.
"Midwinter" Become a Villainous Caster or Mutant
Instead of just being a background character, you can become a villain! Work with the ReVision team to design a caster or a mutant that Nox's squad will face off against in the coming volumes. They'll have their own unique skills, design, and an overall more developed personality.

• Reward Production ($435) - The cost it takes us to create the rewards for all you wonderful supporters!
• Reward Shipping ($1,140) - Coming in as the second largest expense is the shipping cost for the rewards.

ReVision Studios is the creative team behind the comic seen above! Our name comes from our desire to take old genres and tropes and look at them from new angles to promote variety. Passion and freedom are our defining factors as a studio; it is our firm belief that projects like this are a direct result of allowing creativity and teamwork to guide our hands instead of bureaucracy and profits.
As a group, we are dedicated to supporting the Arts for their own sake and fostering ideas and talents! Below is a list of our wonderful team and how they contribute to this fantastic project.
Risks and challenges
While we like to think we have a contingency plan for everything, we realize there are often things out of our control--namely time. In our current capacity, we're able to churn out a volume every 8 to 10 months. We also know that certain factors or unforeseeable issues in life can get in the way of our progress (e.g. problems with printing), but we will always keep our backers and supporters updated on these issues and our plans to rectify them.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
