Krista Branch will release an album consisting of ten to twelve new songs and the re-release and remastering of her first two singles, "I Am America" and "Remember Who We Are." The subject matter of the songs will focus on the ideals that most of us care about, faith, family and freedom.
This is a basic breakdown of how the funds will be spent. Figuring recording cost is not an exact science because of the number of variables that can affect the overall cost. For example, live strings versus programmed strings. Much of this is decided during the recording process based upon what we believe each song will need.
It will cost from twelve to fifteen thousand dollars for audio production and mastering. Manufacturing will cost between three to five thousand dollars depending upon variables such as the number of CD's in demand and cost for graphics design, stamping, packaging, and shipping. If the goal is exceeded, we will use the surplus funds for production of new music videos.
Krista Branch spent her childhood in Texas, a very driven young lady with only one dream in her heart, to sing. Although she was very shy in nature, she took every opportunity she could. Whether it be at church, school or a public event, Krista sang her heart out. To her singing wasn't a hobby or something she just enjoyed doing. There was a sense of purpose to it, as if it was the very thing she was born to do. She believed that somehow God would allow her to use her talent to change hearts, and give hope to those who are desperate for it.
Krista married a songwriter, Michael Branch in 2000 and started a family shortly after. By April of 2003 she was a mother of three and naturally, her focus turned to her husband and kids. Even then she practiced singing every day, she studied, she improved, waiting for her dream to become reality.
Years later, Krista had some success as a season seven American Idol Hollywood contender. When that eventually came to an end she found herself more relieved than anything. She learned a lot from the experience. Being thrust into the music business machine so quickly can rob you of the opportunity to figure out who you are, to put out a message that will make the most difference. Maybe the world needs a few more pop singers writing lyrics about partying and dancing, but Krista was certain that was not who she was called to be.
Often times we are surprised by the sudden change of direction our lives can take. In our mind we figure a route to success or the realization of our hopes, only to be blindsided by an opportunity or event that changes everything. This very thing happened to Krista.
It started with a song Michael wrote expressing his discontent with those who abuse their power for personal or political gain. Krista recorded the song, they produced a music video and uploaded it to Youtube. Nothing prepared them for the whirlwind that would follow. The video went viral and Krista began to travel and perform all over the Country. Her singles "I Am America" and "Remember Who We Are" were chosen as campaign theme songs by two different 2012 Presidential candidates.
The sudden success opened doors of opportunity in Nashville, Tennessee. Krista and her family moved to that area in 2010. After three years of searching for the right songs and writing new songs, they are ready to begin production.
Her message is one of hope and peace in a world that is often difficult to understand. Krista Branch is one of the few artists who have had the courage to sing about things that most entertainers will not touch. Over the last few years she has learned that there are so many people starving for an entertainer who will voice the things they care so deeply about. She is committed to release songs that will hopefully continue to make a difference.
This project will be creative and relevant. It will combine powerful lyrics with interesting and unique musical depth.
Krista believes the best way to share her project would be to give those who love her music the chance to invest. You have the opportunity to play a role in Krista's story, as we hope her music will play a role in yours.
She is truly honored to have your support.
Risks and challenges
Obviously with any recording project there is the potential for delays. We plan to use several producers simultaneously so we can give each song the focus it deserves. We do not anticipate delays or obstacles but we are prepared in case there are.
If changes do occur, the most helpful thing we can do for you is communicate often. Our goal is to be in contact as much as possible with those of you who have so generously given of your resources.
There is nothing that cannot be worked out. We will make certain that you are 100% happy with your experience. We assure you we will go the extra mile.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
