Hi Backers, and happy holidays from us in Krillbite!

Here in the north the snow is falling, and the majestic lake Mjøsa is slowly freezing over. The office is still steaming with activity (and tea), while we defy our wish to play outside in the snow.

Soon, we tell ourselves, we will breathe some fresh winter air, and go say hi to our families.

Behind the scenes video, environment testing

Are you curious how Among the Sleep is made? In this video you’ll see Bjørnar playing around with some environments! It’s captured in the Unity engine, while assembling and lighting a test scene. In the end you’ll also see him walk around in the scene. Do you feel inspired to make video games? There is no reason not to!

We recently published the Oculus Rift-supported version of our free Among the Sleep Alpha. For everyone with devkits, you can now download and test it from this url.

Going forward we’ll be optimising the implementation a lot, and we have established a good relationship with Oculus themselves to acquire feedback on how to create the best Rift experience for you.

Anyho, please feel free to send us any feedback you might have, and we’ll keep optimising it in the months to come!

We can't wait to share more details with you in 2014 :) Happy holidays!

I'd like some update too, it's been 3 months.

I like you guys, but in all seriousness we're you're investors. This money wasn't a handout or a gift. Like any other company's investors we want to know what's going on. Good new is good, bad news is bad, but no news makes us feel like you're like all the other kickstarters that try to start a game and have nothing to show for it because all the developers have gotten bored or moved on to other companies. We gave you our money and we deserve to know what you're doing with it. So with all due respect, please keep us up to date.

When is the game expected to be finished?

You should probably consider releasing an improved Oculus alpha if possible. A friend with a devkit was so put off by it that he may not give the game another chance. He said the "warp" for making it work with the Oculus was so badly done he got an instant headache (ruining his evening since it lasted 3 hours, and he normally has no problem with the Oculus) and that it was among the worst implementations he'd seen. I realize alpha means alpha, but if more people share his experience it's just bad pr.

Oo, yeah! Wii U version! That'd be excellent~

Nice to hear from you guys :D Very cute Krillteam art.

I don't have time to watch the vid just now, but I'll check it out later. Sounds interesting!

I still don't have Oculus Rift, would've been nice if the light effects would work in nVidia 3D Vision though! Oh well, don't worry about it if you don't have the resources for that. :)

A Wii U version would be awesome. But I cant wait for this game :)
