Console release? New Stretch Goal & a stereoscopic video for Oculus Rift!
Hi again you lovely people!
We’re continuing to climb, that is simply amazing :D We just entered the last 24 hours of the campaign, and we just can’t believe we’ve come this far. Today it’s even Norway’s national day, so the entire country is already dressing up to celebrate :)
Oculus Rift, Commentary track & new Stretch Goal!
After the wonderful ice cream, we’ve reached an additional two stretch goals! The proper Oculus Rift implementation, and the in-game Commentary Track featuring thoughts and anecdotes from the development of Among The Sleep.
We can’t wait to share the results of this with you.
As we have mentioned, we are very satisfied with the existing design of Among the Sleep, but there are numerous things we’d like to do on the side of the game itself. And because you lovely people keep contributing, we’ve added the next Stretch Goal to the list!
Supersecret free DLC! We’ve been so inspired by all your input and feedback during the last weeks, that we’d love to spend some time after release and develop a free DLC in collaboration with our wonderful backers! Everyone with access to the backer-forums would be invited to join in the creative process. Keeping it separate from the main AtS story should also give us all the creative freedom we would like! What could become of it? The possibilities are endless!
This is your chance to join us, in creating something unique for Among the Sleep!
Among the Sleep on PS4?
We’re glad to finally be able to announce our dialogues with Sony, regarding a potential console release! We don’t want to promise anything yet, but we’ve been talking with them for a while, and are now in the process of ironing out the details. We have yet to nail what a quality port would demand from us as well, but things are looking bright!
We want as many people as possible to be able to play Among the Sleep, so we would love to make the PS4-version possible.
Stereoscopic video for Oculus Rift dev-kits!
We have recorded an in-game video while running Oculus Rift, so that all of you with dev-kits can get a feel for the in-game scale and perspective! Be cautious though, when you do not control the movement yourselves, it’s much easier to get motion sick.
Also, keep in mind that we’ve had very little time to implement it yet, hence the Stretch Goal. The implementation is far from finished, and this video is just an opportunity for a quick feel :)
Livestreaming the final hours!
We’ll be livestreaming the final hours of the campaign tomorrow, counting down in unison! We will start about two hours before touch down, at 7am PST / 10am EDT / 4pm CEST, and keep it going past the finishing line.
The streaming-link will be found on the Kickstarter front page tomorrow. You are all invited to join in, and discuss or ask us questions etcetera. I’ve also heard some rumors about Amnesia gaming, for entertainment purposes.
