*The video above is not a final portrayal of the game!
The Neverending Game is a 2D platformer where you play as a cube. You will venture through different levels that are very unique in their own ways and try to reach the end, if there is one.
It is more of a casual game that you play when you just want some simple, straight forward fun. This does not mean that the game is easy though. Sure there will be easy levels that take no skill or thinking to complete but there are also others that do take skill and will be quite difficult to complete.
The game also features certain trivia every 5 levels. This is to make the game more interesting (add variety) and learning/expressing your knowledge of the world is also fun.
There will also be certain levels that have a sort of visual feature to them. For example, a level themed around the topic of War may feature a random explosion or bullets beings shot in the background. Here is an example of this:
The game will be constantly updated.
The game may be released on iOS and Android, not 100% certain yet.
The game will have no form of micro-transactions.

As I have said previously, the game is visually and mechanically simple. I make games that I would most likely enjoy if I were to play it and I like simple games. Hence why the design of the game is simple and straight forward. I also saw not point in making complex art for the game as the game had no real storyline, just the bare basics.
Each level is different in its ways, some levels will be similar but no level is designed to be similar in any way, except if the level is a sequel to another level. No level is also randomly generated hence there will be no random platforms out of place or no theme. Each level is named and numbered so you can see the theme of the level and what level you are up to as the goal is get as far as you can.
The levels were designed mostly during class time when I was bored or when sudden inspiration hits me. I usually come up with a theme then elaborate on that. Since each level design is different in numerous ways, that will keep the interest of the player, hopefully.
There will also be the feature of user submitted levels. That's right, you will be able to submit your own design of your levels. This does not mean I just sit there, be lazy and use your levels as a source of content. No, I will always be creating levels and you will be able to add your own, this game does not depend on user submitted levels.
It's a little different though, the levels need to be somewhat practical hence you will be send your level design straight to me where I then create the level and put it in the game. This is so levels are not outrageous or unfair. You design your level how ever you want and add what ever mechanics you want though there will be boundaries. You will be able to submit your design via paint, Photoshop or scanned paper or anything else. You will receive full credits for your level.
Why Kickstarter? Well basically I'm your average student who is soon to graduate who does not have a lot of time on their hands who does not have the proceeds to spend on such a project. Why not take the advantage of Kickstarter since it just released in Australia, perfect timing. Kickstarter will also allow us to create some sort of fan base and it will inform the people of the game before it releases. TL;DR I'm economically poor...
Of course, there will be music and sound effects in the game. Music is a significant chunk of any video game. The music in this game will be mostly be sombre and melancholic which will create a peaceful feeling in the player as he/she plays.
The funding will be used wisely, unlike some other start ups that end up using all of their funding. Even though it is a small amount compared to other Kickstarter products, I don't have any employees to pay as I am the only developer creating this product.

Some stretch goals if funding is more successful...
Well, at the moment it is just me, Konn.
I have friends that are also game developers that are somewhat a part of Flytime Games because if they were to release a game it will be under this name. But nothing has been seen by them so far but in the future maybe...
Well I'm currently a student but by the time you read this I would have graduated secondary/high school and probably have lots of free time. I like to create/ develop games hence why I'm doing this. I also love technology and gaming (LoL, Starcraft 2, Battlefield, MMORPG's). I live in Melbourne Australia, an awesome place for living. You can call me Konn as it is my alias for everything.
Risks and challenges
The current risks that I may encounter if the project gets funded are:
Time allowance -
My plan is to release the game with enough levels so that you will never reach the end and will have hours of game play. Hopefully during the time allocated after the ending of this project and by the time the game releases (2 months~) there will already be hundreds of levels. I will work day and night to make it happen.
Now as you can see, the funding required is pretty low for the amount of hours that will be put into the game. Hence I am also somewhat depending on the sales of the actual game after it is officially released to keep updating the game continuously. Don't fret though there will be hours or even tens of hours of game plays worth, maybe more.
