Stretch Goals Have Been Updated!

Based on your feedback and some reevaluation of our numbers, we have decided to update the stretch goals being offered during the campaign for Western Legends. You may have noticed the updated stretch goal graphic on the campaign page, but we wanted to break down the changes for you in an update.

We have moved the goals around a bit and changed the numbers required to unlock them. Here is a look at the next three goals in line for you.

At $275k, we will add 4 new Story Cards to the Fistful of Extras expansion for the game.

The Peacekeeper will now unlock at $290k. The Peacekeeper's ability can make it easier to climb the Marshal or Wanted track. We'll reveal its specific ability when you unlock this powerful gun. The Peacekeeper will be added to the Fistful of Extras expansion.

When we reach $305k, we will add a third Bandit miniature sculpt to the base game - the Fugitive. We have some information about the Fugitive mini that we'll share once it is unlocked.

For those that were looking forward to the 2mm punchboard component upgrade that was announced in our last update, don't worry. The punchboard upgrade will be next on the list after the Fugitive is unlocked (and with a lower goal).

New Video Review

Eddie from Dice at Dusk provided a great look at Western Legends recently, and we thought we'd share with all of you. Did he back the game? Check out the answer below.

The Good, the Bad, and the Handsome Expansion

Some of you may have noticed we have a couple of add-ons for this project. One is simply a deck of standard poker cards with the art and card names from the deck used in the game only without the abilities. So if you’re a fan of poker or know someone that is, this is a nice extra to own.

The other add-on, the Good, the Bad, and the Handsome, is an expansion akin to Fistful of Extras. Now, what it may lack in plastic, it makes up for it in content. This introduces 3 new legends of the time, their goal cards, 16 story cards (with a brand-new trigger), and 12, that’s right, 12 Legendary Items to fill that last slot in your general store stand.

The characters in question are as follows.

Judge Roy Bean is a new starting Marshal character. Phantly Roy Bean was an eccentric U.S. saloon-keeper and Justice of the Peace in Val Verde County, Texas, who called himself "The Law West of the Pecos." According to legend, Bean was elected justice of the peace and held court in his saloon. Known for his unorthodox rulings, he once famously charged a deceased individual in possession of $40, a $20 fine, as well as $10 burial fee, and $10 in court costs.

Next, we have notorious outlaw Butch Cassidy that starts Wanted. Butch was a notorious train and bank robber that lead the ruthless gang the Wild Bunch in the American Old West. After his first bank robbery, he unsuccessfully attempted life as a rancher before returning to crime. Eventually, relentless pursuit from lawmen such as Allen Pinkerton drove Cassidy to flee to South America with accomplice Harry Alonzo Longabaugh, also known as "The Sundance Kid."

Lastly, we have Joaquin Murrieta. Also called the Mexican Robin Hood or the Robin Hood of El Dorado, Joaquin Murrieta Carrillo was a famous figure during the California Gold Rush. Depending on the point of view, he was considered as either an infamous bandit or a Mexican patriot. Murrieta was possibly the inspiration for the fictional character of Zorro. For some activists, Murrieta had come to symbolize the resistance against Anglo-American economic and cultural domination in California.

As mentioned, we also have 16 new story cards. These have two very interesting elements that make them unique, beyond adding even more variety to your story card options.

Not only do these story cards introduce a new, and particularly more confrontational, trigger, they introduce legendary items. Every one of these items is unique, offering a variety of exceptional abilities and advantages. Take a gander at some of the new items below!

Legendary Items not shown are: Lasso, Thunder, Silver Flask, Tomahawk, Outlaw's Mask, Frontier Guide, and Mesa Deed

Whether you're riding Lightning to deal hot justice to bandits, or are blowing the Sam Hill out of others with a good ol’ stick of TNT, these items add yet another layer of fun, variety, and memorable play to a game already bursting at the seams.

The majority of our backers have already pledged at the highest possible level, but we encourage those who have not to ponder the possibility of doing so. Not only will they receive the aforementioned sundries, doing so also increases our funding sum which also unlocks more rewards. In order to receive the Good, the Bad, and the Handsome with your pledge, be sure you are pledging at the Legendary level or higher.

We wanted to thank you all, once again, for your support and enthusiasm. You truly have helped make this project a Kolossal success!
