Have a question?
stil not arirved in the uk
Thanks for the fast answer. I will send you an email.
Hi Gerdon, we ended up deciding to ship the Ace-High reward separately. We had troubles finding a Print On Demand company that could match the Euro sized cards, plus matching the color. We finally straightened it out and we have our first batch ready. I will be sending your larger order in separately this week. Please send me a message for more details.
Recived it yesterday, but missing the Ace-High-Reward Cards.
Arrived in Switzerland yesterday.
Still got nothing here in Germany.
Thanks for the reply :)
The two cases of games sent to our warehouse in London are currently stuck in customs. I experienced a similar delay when I shipped a couple cases of the Dark Horse base game there. I cannot predict how long it will take but I should hear something within a week or so. Once the games clear customs the orders will go out within a few days.
Any news regarding the delivery for EU backers?
@Mike Taylor - Thank you for the heads up on our "contact us" page. I will send you a message in a few minutes.
Knight Works: I'm missing a few tokens in my R&R set. I tried to use the webpage's "contact us" section but the email won't go through. Can you contact me to discuss this? Thanks.
If you are interested in getting the smaller box. He is right it only can hold the token bag. I just moved all tokens and games pieces to the base game box, the smaller box hold all character cards, score pads, promo cards,ect.. It works out pretty well :)
@Ken Redwood - Yes, the non-EU orders were dispatched.
Now that you're back are you able to confirm that my order was dispatched to Australia please?
I will take a proper size box. And for the next kickstarter make sure you get some buzz going on Forged in Steel and Mill City. Send undead viking a copy since he is one of the few people that even do them anymore. That guy just adores board games.....a true board game aficionado (no disrespect to any others).
The unfortunate truth about the box is that it does not hold anything besides the bag of tokens. I would have included the box in everyone's order but they did not fit into the packages that I was sending out, even when I placed the token bag inside the box. Here is a photo of the box with tokens: https://www.dropbox.com/s/2a8t8x2brfu569n/Box_Shot.jpg…
I have two options 1) I can send the ultra small box to folks now, or 2) a proper size box when I receive my next shipment from my manufacturer next Summer. As David mentioned, this would give me a chance to combine the shipping for people who feel they will be interested in either Forged in Steel, Mill City, or Hands in the Sea.
Please send me a private Kickstarter message or an email to email@example.com if you are interested in either option and you had purchased either the Add-On Bundle or Exclusive Expansion Game Box Add-On.
I agree with David Walters - I would have taken a box - I am a little disappointed that there is no box.
I just got my goodies- I wish I would have seen that you would send the box if someone wanted it! I would have taken one. Maybe you can hold one for me and send it along with a future game/order?
Everything looks good though. Can't wait to sort and organize it all tonight! It was a pleasure meeting you at BGGCON!
Hey everyone! Back from BGG.CON... phew I am exhausted. I meet with some old friends and made some new ones and overall it was a great con. Thank you for all the kind words and encouragements. If you had any questions or issues, about the recent shipment, I will be addressing them this week.
@Anthony Perez - I sent you an email message about the mix up.
I got mine today as well. Components look great! Looking forward to getting this one to the table this weekend.
I have a question... I added $20 for Bundle 1 and did not receive it along with the game expansion. Is that Bundle coming in a different shipment? Also, I keep my expansions in there respective boxes. So I would like to have the custom box please. How can I get it?
I received my Rebels & Rogues in the mail today (in Virginia). Thanks, Don, for all the hard work.
There were some packages that went out to Australia and Japan as well. I can take a look when I get back this weekend at what was shipped.
It's good news that the game and accessories are finally on their way.
I live in Australia. I'm sure there must be a reason why you are not sending to me directly. I am surprised that they have to go to London first.
Larry, thank you for your candor.
I plan on making Knight Works the sort of company that treats each backer/supporter as a loyal customer. I have met with backers and even had a chance to play a game with others. I will strive to make sure I keep people informed and, if they choose, involved in the game publishing/design process. I am looking forward to learning and growing this business together with all of you. :-)

I appreciate your response back and would love to get that Custom box, regardless of size. :)
I personally don't mind the smaller box and don't think a reprint will be necessary. I know your a small shop, so having to reprint will be just an additional cost that you have to eat. I know that can be hard on a small business. Besides your jester of a free score pad to people was a nice way to make up for it.
You seem to be one who cares about quality, I am sure you will take the steps to make sure you don't have mishaps.
Thank you for doing what you always do very well and address our concerns.
@Larry jossi - I understand your concerns, but I assure you this is not indicative of future quality.
The other manufacturing error you are mentioning is the metallic copper die, which was a free item offered to backers. This was mentioned in Update #18, on May 17th, five months after the campaign ended.
I will include the smaller custom box in your order and for anyone else who asks. Beyond that I have no way to run a small batch of boxes. I can run more boxes the next time I manufacture games, but that will be at least 8 months from now.
I am sad to say the last update has left a bad taste in my mouth. Does this mean that we are not getting the custom box all together now? I do not need one box for everything, i enjoy keeping my expansions in there respective boxes. So i would like to have the Custom box still.
Secondly, if i am not mistaken this is the second time there has been a "manufacturing" error on the game. Don't get my wrong i know these things come up. I work in screen printing, so I have seen my fair share of manufacturing errors. Twice on the same project is not a good thing. I understand you are wanting to lean more towards the publishing of games. If this is the standard that is to be expected of Knight Works Games, I am afraid Knight Works will not be taken seriously.
I do not like writing harsh words, I am a fan of this game. From the over all theme to the game play, i am still really looking forward to this expansion.
Good news everyone! My shipping agent just informed me that the games moved through customs without a hitch, the container is unloaded and the pallets are on a truck headed to Colorado! I will post an update once I have the games in hand. I also wanted to share the reason behind the delay at the port.
Ummm, why is backerit informing me today that my credit card is failing when it's trying to charge me for $20? I backed the game + expansion with free shipping to the US and no add ons. There shouldn't BE any charge to me.
Exciting news! The manufacturer asked for the label on the cases, as well as the shipping agent/broker, consignee, delivery information, etc. We are getting close folks!
@ knight works - love "forged in steel" based on BGG but the theme on MILL city.....is producing flour? You know even though I am not a big fan of that theme....I am positive the game mechanics are buttery smooth and a blast to play. I will crush my opponents - right after I crush this wheat into flour!!!! Lol. I am intrigued in all of the games
Hi Debbie, thank you for the kudos! Knight Works has quite a bit planned for this fall, although we have had some hiccups over the summer. We are shooting to launch our next KS campaign in September for both "Forged in Steel" as well as "Mill City". Roughly 2-3 months later, we will then be launching a KS campaign for "Hands in the Sea" and "Battle of Capua". So each campaign will be offering a main game and a lighter card game. If everything works as planned we will be going from one game to five! You can read more about those games at www.boardgamegeek.com.
Just checking in. Really anxious for this expansion now that things are close. Also what else is in the works?...lifetime games level here. I have hopes you become a big publisher, as I have "stock" here. :)
Thanks Calvin, I appreciate your support and kind words! It means a lot to me that people have really gotten behind both of the Dark Horse campaigns. Looking back at being an early adopter on Kickstarter I realize it was a unique opportunity but it did stunt the overall growth and potential for the game. It also did not help that I had little experience in marketing and distributing a game back then, however I am learning and looking forward to growing the company!
@ knight works - No problem. This was the best project I have ever backed. Seriously, with Kingdom Death Monster 2nd. This game is special. And very under rated. just ask Rahdo. Very eager to play with the expansion.
@Calvin - Update #20 talked about the most recent delays we have experienced. The good news is that the manufacturer is printing the game this week. I cannot give any estimates at this point because manufacturing has not been completed, but I should know more next week.
@ Knights Works - any updates? July is almost over. Fall is coming.
@Ken - EU packages will go through the Royal Mail and all other packages are sent from the USPS. I do not use courier services. Thank you for checking with me. :-)
Can you advise please whether this will ship to me via the regular post office i.e. not via courier.
@Kelli - I apologize, I thought I had answered this. We will send out a survey through Kickstarter looking for updated addresses a few weeks before we ship out the game. You can also update your info at: darkhorse.backerkit.com
I'm going to be moving in 2 months. How do I let you know of a change in address for shipping?
Cool :) Thanks for the reply
Hi Paulo, things are going good and I will be firing off the files to the manufacturer tonight. I was hoping to send them a couple weeks ago but I hit a few snags which I will cover in the next update. I will post something tonight or tomorrow and also give folks a chance at a sneak peek of the finalized content.
Hi Don... any news on the progress of the game?
@Larry - Thank you for bringing out the game for Tabletop Day! I am glad to hear people enjoyed it. I think with enough attention, care and feeding the game can slowly rise up the ratings on BoardGameGeek.com.
@Dave - You are on the hook for my next stick figure game! I think I will call it "Stick-fu". A light little card game of stick figure ninjas! :-)
I am super exited for this exp., i brought out this game and taught it to several people yesterday on Table Top day. It was quite a hit!!
I can help if you need an artist for stick figures:/
