      I've had my Quneo for over 2 weeks now and I can't get it to work. Customer service is the worst in the world. Unresponsive and impossible to reach. They send me ONE email per week and refuse to talk on the phone. Though I told them a million times all the steps I did, that one email per week is full of junk telling me to do the same steps over and over again.

      I TOTALLY REGRET ORDERING MY QUNEO. I'm gonna pack it up in the box, ship it back to Keith McMillen and to hell with it and the money I paid. Honestly. If you want to take my money, at least help me get the product to work.

      Hello
      I got my Quneo, but unfortunately had to pack it up for a big move before i got to play with it... and somehow lost the USB cable that came with. It is not a mini-usb connector - so what kind of cable is it that i need to get it working. Bummed that i just set the new studio up, and can't get that working. will try to find one at an electronics shop out here, but not sure what the one connector is called. Can't wait to get it up and running!!

      Reason i got my quneo late was because i didn't ad 50$ for shipping in the first place.

      Hello,
      got my QuNeo finally. Waited even more cause I forgot to pay shipment :P
      I'm on windows XP with another MIDI controller preinstalled.
      I open up the Editor, tells me firmware out of date, I say OK Update.
      The QuNeo flashes a bit but then the process strarts again from the initial prompt.
      Please assist

      Anyone having any problems with false triggers/weird anomalies with the MIDI expander? When I have a key assigned to a patch change CC#, it is constantly changing programs undesirably, and I have adjusted sensitivity. When I have no key assigned to a patch change, I still have this issue, though less frequently...

      Thanks Jon, here is what I received in case this will help some of you.

      "If you are using version 1.0 or 1.0.1 of the QuNeo software, then this is to be expected — we did not have support for the MIDI Expander in the initial releases of the software.

      We put up the newest version of the QuNeo software yesterday, version 1.1 — it includes support for the MIDI Expander. You can download it from our website here: http://www.keithmcmillen.com/QuNeo/downloads/ Once you install that, connect your QuNeo and open up the new editor. It should prompt you to update your firmware — click OK and the update process will begin. You should also update your presets on the QuNeo by using the "Update All" button in the editor — the presets from previous versions are no longer compatible with this new version.

      Since the presets are no longer compatible, if you have any custom presets you've made you'll need to manually reenter everything into the new editor. We're working on adding preset conversion functionality that will be rolled out into a later update so you don't have to go through this hassle in the future.

      There is indeed a key press combination to put the board into Expander mode. Once you've got everything settled on the computer side of things, plug your Expander into power with a USB power supply and then plug your QuNeo into the Expander. You should see the LEDs swipe across the board, showing that it is receiving power. Now press down the top-left and bottom-right buttons on the QuNeo (the Mode button and the rightmost Down button) — the LEDs will swipe across the board again, this means you have now entered MIDI Expander mode. The MIDI Out light on the Expander should now be flashing when you press the various sensors on the QuNeo, indicating that MIDI is actually being sent out. This two-button gesture is necessary because the QuNeo can't tell if it is connected to a computer or an Expander, so there needs to be some sort of user interaction to define your intentions."

      Quick update. Tom contacted me and is taking care of my RMA personally. If you have problems with your unit, Don't open up the unit as it will void your warranty. They are taking RMA's seriously.
      Tom is cross shipping me my new Quneo with Expander so I don't have to wait anymore.

      I also was assured that it is not glue that holds the seems together. They are RF welded at the seems. I will update more when I receive my replacement unit. I'm crossing my fingers.

      Non existing communication and an expectation that it might take up to a year to rma my quneo back I just went ahead and fixed it! If you look at the first link you will instantly see the problem. And taking it apart led to some really sad comments of construction. Keith! Glue to hold the seems together? Why even bother with screws? Please tell me you will fix this in later revisions. Yes I'm aware I voided my warrantee, but honestly I can't see myself using this and counting on it based on construction. Poorly thought out this go around. Good luck to your next product.
      Can I please request my midi expander? I really need this to make it work with my rig.

      From the looks of the 'hundreds' of not quite good enough units sitting on a shelf at KMI headquarters, ild say the manufacturer must be incredibly unreliable.

      My only complaint is the lack of communication. I don't think we should at this stage have to come to the Kickstarter page begging for updates... Surely there is an intern on the KMI staff that can be assigned the task of posting a weekly progress report... Maybe it doesn't have to be overly technical, but at least something like "These new boards are working well" or "Looks like we won't meet middle of July" and a couple photos or whatever, but at least something that shows that things are moving. That's all.

      @Max, I don't think that's fair at all. If you read all of the updates, you will see that the underlying problem was that Keith was being given a lot of misinformation by his suppliers. At worst, Keith is guilty of being overoptimistic. Keep in mind that KMI expected to be shipping these products in March and April, and would have liked to go into May selling these at full speed all over the world. Instead, they are having to spend extra money and time on this product well into late summer just to get to that point.
      I have never been critical of how long the project took to complete. My only criticism is that the lack of consistent communication is not in the spirit of Kickstarter. It would have been interesting and useful to hear about the problems (even if it made us think Keith was crazy ;-). And at this stage, it would be very helpful if KMI could post progress reports. We know products have shipped, but people are still in the dark about how things are going. I realize that businesses don't normally report this kind of progress to customers, but then again Kickstarter is a new model of doing business and it's important for businesses to adapt to new models.
