We are Chadwick & Joe, welcome you to our 22nd kickstarter project!
In 2016 we launched the original Ti Arto pen, it was a true game-changer and opened up the ability to use a huge range of popular refills without any hacks, modifications, or headaches.
One Pen, Adjustable Lengths, Insanely Refill-Friendly.
The Ti Arto EDC is our most adjustable pen yet and it accepts over 750 different refills without any hacks, mods, or annoying tip-wiggle. This pen machined from solid titanium, accepts hundreds of different refills and can be customized to be the perfect length. Making it a pen that can be passed down from one generation to the next.
The Backstory
In 2012, we realized that if we wanted to buy a premium rollerball or ballpoint pen that we'd be stuck buying that specific companies refills for life. It felt extremely limiting being tied to only one proprietary refill/brand, considering the large number of great refills on the market. At the time, our only option would be to hack, slash, and modify other refills to fit inside. So we set out to make pens that changed the game for the better. Pens that took the guesswork out of swapping refills to fit people's personal taste and that were built to last.
Why EDC? (Everyday Carry)
Simply said, EDC is all about focusing on what objects you have with you everyday. The key items that have value, purpose, and help you do what you do throughout your day. We prefer to carry fewer, high-quality, and extremely versatile objects that let us do more and carry less. Premium EDC gear that builds memories and can be passed down to future generations.

What's Different From The Original Ti Arto?
We love the clean lines and timeless nature of the Ti Arto so we worked hard to keep what people loved and focus on making it even better.
• A more user friendly mechanism that stays connected to the body and eliminates the risk of loosing any mechanism parts.
• Adjustable back post to make the pen more compact when using shorter refills inside.
• Optimized high strength o-rings measurements so they stay in place and don't come off.
• Slightly lighter weight (8.6 grams / 0.30 oz lighter) for making longer writing sessions and everyday carry more comfortable.
• The pens now come in 3 color/finishes!
Redesigned Mechanism
The mechanism is a sealed system to prevent the loss of any parts and to improve the over all user experience. Simply twist the grip to fully secure the refill, it's never been so easy to get a dead-lock fit on a huge range of refill diameters.

•Stonewashed (Tumbled in ceramic media)

The image below provides a side-by-side length reference of the Ti Arto when the cap is posted on the back. Even at it's longest possible length, you'll notice the Ti Arto EDC is still more compact (using their refills) than most popular pens.

Why Kickstarter?
Our company (Big Idea Design LLC) started back in 2011 after our very first kickstarter project. So, to us it feels like home. We don't have (or want) any investors so we bring our new products to the kickstarter community. We simply love being an active part of this community and making unique products with our backers that are both affordable and built to last.

Risks and challenges
This is our 22nd kickstarter project so we are very comfortable knowing what it will take to bring this project to a successful completion. The only risk we foresee would be shipping a little bit later than the estimated dates show if the project is extremely over-funded. We have planned in extra time but if a production or shipping delay happens, we will let update everyone know about it ASAP through a project update. The pens shown are also functional prototypes and the minor design elements or dimensions may need to be slightly adjusted during mass production to ensure we produce the best pens we can for everyone.
