The Albums Finished!

Hi Everyone! Just wanted to drop you a line and let you know that the album is all finished! It took a little longer than we thought, but it's finally done and it sounds great. It's as diverse and unique as we intended it to be. Obviously the projected prize dates have been postponed as we could not have gotten you your copies until it was finished, but we are working on completing all of the packages and plan to have them to you soon after the release show. Speaking of the release show, THE TRILOGY ALBUM RELEASE SHOW is scheduled for February 3rd here in Reno. it's going to be held at the Underground. The tickets are $10 in advance and this includes a copy of the album. Now for most of you this does not apply as entrance and the album are included in your prize packages. If you are one of those people, just march right up to the door and tell them you are on the list of people that made this happen, and you'll be guided inside. We have been planning the show for some time and I assure you it will be a night of epic proportions. As always, many thanks to all of you and we'll be back with another update very soon!

In Other News!

Trilogy Album One "Hate Me Now" was listed #2 in the Reno Gazette Journals article entitled "2011's top CDs from Reno-area bands"!

Recording Has Begun!

This weekend kicked off our recording sessions for the REBORN EP. We are so excited  and are well on our way to creating this one of a kind album. We will be documenting our progress along the way so that you all can share in this experience with us! Here's a short look into our first weekend at Pixie Records. Enjoy :)

Update :11/17/2011

A lot can happen in a year…It’s been about that since we started working on The Trilogy. To do what has never been done before…that was the goal initially but I didn’t realize how much more than that this thing would become. I set a goal of six months originally. That was laughable. Three full length studio albums if done right would take much longer than that I realized very quickly. Starting the project, I had only been reading music and playing guitar and a bit of piano for about six months. Everything that I had ever created up to that point had been by ear. My musical direction usually consisted of humming and beat boxing of the songs I came up with and the parts I suggested for my band mates to play. It felt like there were a million sounds and words swarming around in my head that I had no consistent way of communicating so I made the choice to do something about it. That’s when the flood gates opened.

32 songs…each one special in it’s own right. I must say that doing this has been the most trying thing I have ever done in my whole life. I having been living music everday for a year straight whether writing, performing, practicing, or planning and taking care of the business aspects…but literally everyday. “Free time” became a luxury but I’d do it all over again in a heartbeat. I must say though, the thing that has been most moving and gave me that extra boost when I was running on empty was the change I saw in the people around me; in my band mates and in Fine Print (producer). I had always known that this was something I was meant to do, but when my eyes meet theirs, I know that they feel it too. That we all were meant to be apart of something great.

To be here in this moment knowing that thanks to all the support from everyone that donated to the kick starter project, we are going to finish the last album means more than I can put into words. It means that for some people, ordinary people like my band mates and I, dreams do come true. This is only the beginning. I feel that to be so with all of my being.

What's Next?

We start recording REBORN at Pixie Records the first weeked in December and hope to have it completed not long after the beginning of the new year. If I haven’t said it enough, thank you all for your help in making this a reality. I promise you will not be disappointed.
