Big light. Small footprint.
U.S. & International (Voltages & Cord Types)
We have created three different versions of the light bar: 110, 220, and 240 volt. The pledge/reward levels are appropriately labeled for either U.S. shipping only, or international (outside U.S.) backers. A couple weeks after this Kickstarter campaign has finished, we will be sending out surveys to all backers, asking for shipping addresses and any other agreed upon order details. Based on your shipping address (or request), we will determine which type of voltage and cord is appropriate.
Future Orders & Accessories
If you need or want more light bars, cords, or connectors, we've got you covered! Our fixtures and more accessories (longer cords and jumpers, etc.) will be available at Amazon.com after shipments start going out to our backers. We will keep you informed.
Klauf is a small team of very good friends, who have known and/or worked with each other for many years. Combined, we have nearly 45 years of business ownership and operating experience. You would be hard pressed to find a team better fit to run and grow a company like ours.
We're a Delaware corporation. During June, we'll be combining our engineering space with a new manufacturing facility in or near the infamous Research Triangle Park (RTP) located in the beautiful Raleigh/Durham area of North Carolina. Research Triangle Park affords us the ability to recruit talent from three major and prestigious universities: Duke, University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, and North Carolina State University (one of the best engineering schools in the world). With our new location, we'll also be better equipped to pack and ship our fixtures more easily -- to locations across America and worldwide.
Risks and challenges
Given that our lighting fixture uses widely available electronics components, metals, and wire, there is little risk and we expect short material shipping times -- other than a couple weeks delay when a supplier may be short on a capacitor! There may be a shortage with the phosphor diffuser in our fixture, because it's such a new technology. Yet the manufacturer is a solid U.S. company which is gearing up production.
So many U.S. and global vendors are a huge gust of wind behind us and much of the risk is mitigated by the fact that they "want" to help get this product into production and into your hands!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
