“Dare to change your destiny in an epic adventure filled with bewitching characters, political intrigue accompanied with a lot of beer and savory food!”
In Crossroads Inn, you play as an owner of a tavern located in the heart of a fantasy land of Delcrys. Your tavern is situated directly next to borders of three powerful kingdoms, on the crossroads of the biggest trade routes. You face quite a challenge - how to survive in these difficult economic conditions and transform this run-down dive into a prosperous business? How to make your tavern become the topic of conversation not only for juicers and drunkards, but also rich men and nobility?
You will be able to freely build and expand your tavern, offer services for the guests, manage the workers, fight for prestige and renown. Only you can decide, if you want to create a natty harbor for scheming “Seers” and exquisite aristocracy, or a nasty den for thieves and assassins from the “Aviary”.
Challenge destiny and take part in an amazing adventure, full of political schemes, pesky guests and kitchen revolutions. Your weapons are tasty food and the best beer in the neighborhood. Plan ahead, tend to the guests and watch the shipments to become the most famous innkeeper in the history of Delcrys, respected by the most powerful rulers and generals.
Bottoms up, let’s have a toast! This is shaping up to be an unforgettable tale!
$34,000 - Scenario editor and Steam Workshop integration - FUNDED!
Achieving this goal will allow us to transfer some of our workforce to create an editor for maps and game scenarios, which will be integrated with Steam Workshop.
$38,000 - Hiring a lector of our dreams
Thanks to this amount we will be able to hire Brian Blessed, famous actor, as a narrator for Crossroads Inn.
$42,000 - Additional tavern games: “Four and a half finger”, “The Shutmouth”, “Hand to hand”, “Bone poker”
The money from this level of support will free us from other work-related responsibilities, allowing us to design unique tavern mini-games, from the world of Delcrys.
$50,000 - Additional campaign - Martyn’s Legacy (Martyn establishes a tavern) +2-3h of gameplay
Thanks to these resources, we will be able to pay for additional work, to create an individual campaign for Martyn.
$80,000 - Nintendo Switch and Playstation 4 ports
This level of support will allow us to hire an additional programmer, who will create PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch versions of the game.
In this full of colorful characters campaign, “From an Inkeeper to a King”, you play a role of a farm-hand, who lives his life working in his uncle Martyn’s tavern, next to a picturesque town of Crossroads. Your biggest ambition so far was to diligently perform your duties, obtain the respect of local community and marry a chubby daughter of a local trader.
However, fate has other plans for you. After you reached adulthood, Martyn passed the tavern on you and told you your real origin story. You find out that you are a son of the late king Owen, who hid you away in fear of assassins. Next year, an election will be held - you must use this time to build political influence and to defeat the conspirators who caused your father’s death. Your trading decisions will cause shock waves across the continent, peaking interest of powerful players on the political scene of Delcrys.
Can you survive this situation and claim your rightful heritage?
Other than the story campaign, you have access to “sandbox” mode and time-limited scenarios, designed to test the abilities of the best innkeepers. “Sandbox” mode is addressed to fans of simulations, as the gameplay focuses mostly on managing your own business and developing the tavern. Make a money-making machine out of your inn or create a true masterpiece of bar-keeping, to satisfy even the most exquisite tastes of Yorevale’s rulers!
While a typical bartender serves beer from behind the counter, your job is considerably more challenging. First of all, you have to create a plan for your tavern and oversee its execution. A proper placement of the rooms will allow your workers to perform their task more efficiently. Another challenge is choosing right furniture, decorations and work equipment. In other words, the whole decor of the tavern. You will have access to hundreds of elements to give your tavern a unique look. Think of yourself as a manager but in medieval times!
In your tavern, you have access to five types of workers. Quick and witty Servants will help out your clients, while gathering the latest trading tips, which allows you to buy supplies cheaper. Snooping around in the kitchen, a Kitchenhand would love to experiment on a new recipe. A Scoundrel watches the poker tables, and you can order him to snatch a purse from one of the clients. And if the victim catches him red-handed, you can always ask your Thug to kick him out. Drudges will have to be rushed to carry beer barrels and tend to the garden, because for some reason they’re always slacking. And when your tavern attains some renown, it will entice the members of three special classes - Bards, who make people laugh and cry, Vedetas - mistresses of bodily bliss, and Adventurers, who are always looking for new challenges.
A selection of unique dishes and careful interior arrangement will allow you to create a unique business model for your tavern, which uses different types of clients each time. But stay frosty! Delcrys is a world of tensions and conflicts. Prices and availability of goods are constantly changing. One day, a local armed conflict can make it impossible for you to work with the current suppliers, and your carefully laid out plans will no longer apply! In this situation, gracefully change your trade routes to create a new connection and obtain necessary products. Otherwise, those fans of the unique Griphon Stew or Nicoture Pudding will never forgive you!
There are three kingdoms on the Delcrys continent, constantly clashing in political and economical struggles:
Yorevale is the oldest kingdom on Delcrys. It is also called “old land” or “green kingdom”. It remains a country with advanced culture, famous for its universities, farmlands and the biggest cities on the continent. The Yores are skilled in construction, so they surround themselves with humongous walls, to protect themselves from a possible attack of their neighbors, the Untermarch.
The youngest country on Delcrys. Known for its military strength and Knight Orders. This conservative and filled with strongholds country is constantly facing food shortage. Constant attempts to conquer the fertile lands on the eastern part of Yorevale are the reason for recurring wars between these two countries.
The beginnings of Sambria are related to refugees and runways from Yorevale. Its sudden increase of influence was the result of discovering and exploring oversea lands. Because of that, this merchants-ruled republic is now a wealthy country with a unique cultural diversity.
Other than standard guests, your tavern will be visited by a lot of diverse characters from the world of Delcrys. Late night, a member of Knight Errants will visit you, on his way to the nearby wilderness, to vanquish the bandits who are hiding there. He will be watched by a Gildebones observer, always looking for new followers. This fellow on the other hand will be observed by a slender thief from the Aviary faction, tempted by an easy profit. Scared by the approaching storm, one of the gryphon riding Couriers, responsible for delivering letters and packages between kingdoms, will drop by your tavern too. And all that will be closely watched by two dignified Seers, who stopped at Crossroads Inn on their way to the Orrey castle. Only you can decide which of these factions will become your ally; gives you laverage and unique bonuses, but also brings similarly unique problems. A Courier’s gryphon will keep waking up guests during the night, and a Knight Errant might occasionally find his way into your storage and nib on your supplies.
As a tavern owner, you can expect multiple unique random events. You will see the contents of a strange, scuffling chest, carried by two suspicious looking men. A jealous wife, whose husband regularly meets his lover at your place, will show up at the tavern. If you want, you will be able to send one of your guards to a mysterious old tower, whose location shall be revealed by a random foreigner. We will prepare a lot of random events, to make sure that your adventure in Crossroads Inn is truly one of a kind!
All of the music was created by a team led by Marcin Przybyłowicz - the creator of The Witcher soundtrack. These compositions will let you immerse yourself in the role of a host and caretaker of a tavern full of troublemakers. During the night, you will feel the vibe of a knees-up and its accompanying folly. Next day, you will experience gentle sounds of a calm morning. The music prepared by Marcin will make you come back to the world of Crossroads Inn like to a favourite memory.
We are working with Maxim Plasse, a well-known illustrator and cartographer, who did work on many fantasy worlds. His creation, a map of Delcrys, will instantly make you feel its diverse and unique vibe.
There are several dozen types of food and drinks in the Crossroads Inn, and you will be able to create your own, unique menu with them. Obtain the recipe, import ingredients and hire a qualified cook, who will craft a culinary masterpiece. Answer the surprising needs and demands of the clients visiting your tavern!
While working on the game, we have joined forces with “Nerds’ Kitchen”, a team responsible for preparing a culinary e-book based on the world of The Witcher, prepared for famous CD Projekt Red. “Nerds’ Kitchen” created 12 special, legendary dishes for us, and you will see them all in the game. But that’s not all! We have put those dishes in our own e-book. Because of that, you will have an opportunity to not only cook them up in your tavern, but also in your own kitchen. Who knows, maybe this will be the beginning of your very own culinary passion?
We are on Kickstarter because we care about building an active and creative community around our title. We are looking for people who can offer necessary feedback about the direction that this game will take.
Kickstarter is also a unique form of promoting “Crossroads Inn”. Who else can can easily pass on the message about our game, other than the people who have their eyes and ears on the culinary news from all around the world? We know you’re out there and we want you to join us in this ambitious project!
Finally, Kickstarter is a way for us to receive crucial financial support. The project is approaching its final stages, but a successful campaign will allow us to expand the scope of our work and guarantee that it will be finished on-time.

Risks and challenges
Intensive work on “Crossroads Inn” has been going on since the 2016, and the project is in very advanced stages now. However, our team is quite small and an unplanned loss - for health reasons, or any other - one of its members could heavily influence our schedule. Additionally, there is always a possibility of unexpected technical difficulties, which could cause delays in our work.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
