Meat Dorks is a group of farmers, butchers, and cutting facilities that have come together to share our passion for the craft and to deliver great products in a way that is consistent and convenient.
We work with ranchers and farmers that have raised cattle for generations and see animal husbandry as a way of life. They use old world methods of raising cattle on indigenous wild grass and open pastures. We harvest humanely and dry age the entire animal to give you the most in each bite. Most importantly, we use the entire animal.
Contrary to popular belief, grassfed beef shouldn't be tough, dry, and gamey, if the animal has excellent genetics, great grass, and is properly dry aged.
The current model, however, makes it difficult for producers to raise cattle in a way that maximizes flavor. Let’s look at two examples:
SUPERMARKETS: Supermarkets purchase at prices that are too low for producers to use the best animals and great grass. When domestic prices rise, some markets source from overseas. They also skip the dry aging process so that the weight of the product is heavier, because every ounce of moisture lost during the dry aging process hurts a supermarket’s bottom line.
At Meat Dorks, we use animals with great genetics, wild grass, and dry age for up to two weeks to maximize the flavor of each cut.
OTHER ONLINE COMPANIES. Most, if not all, companies purchase leftover meat, which is why most companies sell weight. They then store the products in a cold storage facility for, at times, up to a year. This means you are paying premium prices for leftover products. There is only one winner in this scenario and it’s not you.

SOURCE VERIFIED PROGRAM. We use the highest standards in animal husbandry to ensure the humane treatment of animals from birth to harvest. This requires accurate information, source documents, and an illustration of how all of this works from birth to plate.
GREAT PRODUCTS. It takes serious skill cultivated over generations to produce great stuff. We work with ranchers that use cattle with great genetics and consume excellent grass and butchers that dry age the entire animal. We also harvest monthly to give you the freshest product. WHOLE ANIMAL JOURNEY: After three consecutive months, you will receive an extra cut each month that will take you through a nose to tail journey of different animals. Each cut will come with information about the cut, a culinary technique video, and recipe.
WHAT DOES SOURCE VERIFIED MEAN?
Source verified means that we will have paper work to show the origin of the product and where and when they were harvested. This is the new standard we are setting in the industry.

HOW FRESH IS YOUR MEAT?
Our meat is the freshest you'll find without butchering it yourself. We harvest a month or two prior to our shipping week. Unlike other companies, we do not buy excess meat in bulk and store our products at a cold storage facility waiting to be purchased.
HOW DO YOU SHIP?
We ship using corrugated boxes lined with recyclable thermal and plastic liners. All of the products are placed inside the liner and shipped with adequate dry ice so that your products arrive frozen.
DO I HAVE TO BE HOME TO RECEIVE MY BOX?
No signature is required. There will be enough dry ice to sit at your door for the entire day.
