This project started with the simple question: How could someone seamless an orgasm?
I went from there.
The Terrestrials takes place in the near future. In this new age, a device exists that allows psyches to meet in a liminal space to have safe, efficient, and anonymous sexual encounters (think Tinder for your brain).
"That was the beauty of the machine, you could be one of two stars colliding for a moment."
Lucy, our protagonist, is a reserved scientist who has recently been left by a long-time lover. To cope, she uses the device to satisfy her longings for temporary lust and affection. One day, while using the device, the server crashes, leaving Lucy stranded in the virtual world with the challenging, cheating Will, who she's just had sex with.
It's only then that Lucy relearns intimacy, touch, and connection.
IS THE FUTURE OF SEX NOW?
Well, no (thankfully!). But it's creeping closer and closer. And the thing is, this is the writer (and many of her colleagues') worst nightmare: that one day we won't even have to make the effort to connect to another person to satisfy our longings, to find some semblance of intimacy.
This film is an attempt to show how one lonely soul could navigate an even more virtual and digital world and emerge with a true human connection.
This is a field guide for how to get through a potential romantic battlefield, a warning of some impending sexual doom, or perhaps your fantasy for the next decade come to life.
"When you lose the one you love most, everyone else starts to look like an alien, something foreign and disturbing in its unawareness of what you've been through. You wonder, 'Where have all of you been? What sorts of lives have you been living without me?'"

Risks and challenges
We have few risks and challenges! We learned a lot our first time a lot (like how to avoid getting parking tickets), however...if worse comes to worse:
-We will have to have our crew sleep on the floor of my childhood home.
-The crafty will be sub-par if we are not wise with our money.
-It could rain during our outdoor shoot (but we've scheduled ample time for pick-ups!)
-This future could come before the film is released, making us irrelevant.
