Risks and challenges
I am an experienced designer and have worked with various manufacturers throughout my time making pins and other items; given that experience, we know there are inherent risks to going to production with a manufacturer... typically, these have to do with the timeline:
❤ Manufacturer Delays (e.g. replacement of pieces that didn't make the cut)
❤ Shipping mishaps (e.g. delayed packages)
To mitigate these risks, concrete and detailed product specifications will be communicated to the manufacturer. For shipping, packages will have tracking numbers and mailed via USPS.
Note: Major defects from manufacturing will go into the reject pile, but minor defects typical of enamel pins will be accepted from the manufacturer and sent as rewards (i.e. STANDARD GRADE PINS); these accepted defects are typically those that are somewhat difficult to see without intense visual inspection. By backing this campaign, you have read and understand this, and you are okay with very minor defects in your rewards.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
