Mixing, Mastering, & Making it happen
It's hard to believe that it's been a month since coming back from the studio. Turns out it takes a lot of work to put out an album and do it right. In the last month, my hands-on involvement has slowed down significantly. The mixing, artwork, graphic design, and mastering process is all about waiting, responding, and waiting some more. I'm really happy with how the whole thing is coming together, but I spent the last month on verge of nervously vomiting over every detail. Yeah, take a second to visualize that.
The final mastered CD is arriving at the replication plant today and should be delivered to me before Christmas, which means you should have your physical copies soon thereafter. If you're in Boston or LA during the holidays, let me know if you'd like your stuff hand-delivered. It'd save me a ton on shipping and it would be great to get to thank you in person.
There's a fun making-of video I'm planning on sharing with you all later this week, so keep on eye on the internet at all times. For now, here are a few covers and originals for backers Eddie Mejia, Laura Reynolds, and Ashley Opstad. As always, follow more closely via twitter @kirstenopstad or at kick.kirstenopstad.com
