Zephyr Wars is a fast paced strategy card game for 2 players. Both players must manage their Units effectively to seize Zones on the playing field and defeat opposing Units. Think tactically! Tactic cards are unique ability-based cards that can help tip the scale of battle and leave an opponent always guessing.
In Zephyr Wars, timing is key, and players must try to read their opponent's plays in order to stay ahead of the curve. Players maximize their turns by pairing their Units together to increase their strength, or employing Tactic cards to make a bold advance.
Players who hold the most battle influence by the end of a war campaign are the victors of The Beshi Crusade.
After the calamity of the ancient world, the Earth grew quiet for many cycles. Life was weak, but it was alive. Nations formed, alliances melded, and humanity eventually restored. What was lost from the world before was reinscribed and reinterpreted by the scholars of the realm. Time moved forward into the Era of Rebirth and with a new beginning also brought new challenges.

I would love to get Zephyr Wars into the hands of backers over international waters and even our kind neighbors in Canada and Mexico.
As I've learned the hard way, shipping internationally is more expensive. I'm going to offer international shipping but there will unfortunately be a steeper shipping fee for backers outside of the United States.
Zephyr Wars is also currently only in English. There are no additional translations for the game at this time, which is something to consider for some.
From the very start Zephyr Wars has been a personal passion project of mine that I took very seriously as an obtainable goal. As it developed, I've had help from talented creatives like John McColgan, Sam Ascher-Weiss, Raymond Hernandez, and my close groups of play-testers to make sure the game was fun and worked.
Now I come to Kickstarter to ask for your help. Print production is certainly not cheap and packaging and shipping comes with their own fees too. If there is enough interest in a game like Zephyr Wars, the project crowd funding will easily cover the expenses.
I want to be as transparent as possible with Zephyr Wars. It is a finished product, a done game! Like I said, the money is purely going to print production and shipping. Your investments are not being put into an elevator pitch.
I certainly hope the interest is there! I will be doing a limited print release of 500 copies of the game. Backing the level 2 (or higher) reward tier secures a copy of Zephyr Wars and any remaining copies will be sold at ZephyrWars.com after the Kickstarter.
Risks and challenges
The greatest challenge of Zephyr Wars is simply that it is my first self-published game. This is a large project for one person and I want things to go smoothly.
I've been taking every measure to eliminate potential pitfalls that could throw this project into the void of despair. I'm doing everything in my power to not join the void!
One very reassuring security in Zephyr Wars is that the game itself is 100% complete! The Kickstarter is simply a fundraiser to help me produce and deliver the game.
