The Inspiration for this project has been an interesting one. So many of my decks in the past have centered around a theme or a specific moment in History. Because of this, I have always had historical characters to feature in my decks depending on the theme.
For this project, the beginnings were a little bit different. Many times between projects I will spend a few days just gathering reference and pouring over tons of beautiful images of art and other things that I might find inspiration from.
As I was searching for a creative direction for a new project, a song began to play on my playlist that really caught my attention. My wife sometimes calls me a nerd in my choice of music. I enjoy listening to all types of music but when I am working I seem to find the most focus listening to instrumental music from cinema, games, and other types of media.
This song captivated me, and it was the catalyst for the entire project. I put it on repeat and listened to it to all day while creating a completely new set of court cards from the images of, what I would describe as a mixture of Sci-Fi and Fantasy. The designs that transpired over the course of the day were promising to me, and most of very different from any of my previous work.
The title of the deck was actually derived from the title of the song that sparked it, Invocation.
The Invocation song is featured in the Kickstarter video.

Risks and challenges
There are always risks and challenges with any Kickstarter. There are so many moving parts and things that have to work together "just right" for this project to work. My past experiences with being a Kickstarter creator have taught me many lessons. My pledge to you as a backer and supporter of this project is to be completely honest and completely transparent about the entire process. If there are speed bumps or hiccups (which there always are) I will do my very best to communicate with you what is going on and how I plan to resolve any issues. One of the most important parts of being a creator and or a backer is to be flexible, as this IS a creative process and you are traveling along with me for the ride. Thank you for your support!
We can refund you within 14 days of the campaign’s end, fees included. After that, we have a policy of no questions asked, though that’s minus Kickstarter and payment processing fees (which we can’t get back from them after 14 days). However, if we’ve begun packaging your pledge for shipment (usually 4 to 6 weeks before the actual shipping date), no refunds are possible. If a component cannot be delivered AT ALL, we refund that completely, including fees.
All refunds after the 14 days close of the campaign may be processed via Paypal or reversed via Stripe to your credit card at our discretion. Refunds within 14 days are reversed via Stripe to your credit card.
This project is being funded in USD and any refunds processed will be in USD for the exact amount received in USD, excluding any applicable fees depending on the time of the refund being processed.

I have done my best to accurately represent the final project with the conceptual images above. If any changes are needed I will communicate clearly what the change is and why it was needed.
