Huge Thanks to our Amazing Backers and Supporters!! We are FULLY FUNDED!
Kinazium is a construction set for creating mazes and games for robots!
Kinazium unleashes the potential of robots by giving kids the tools to design mazes, games and more for playing, racing and competing. At home or in school Kinazium engages kids for hours.
Invent and design mazes and games like this:
Each Kinazium includes:
- 4 Interconnecting Mats: each 20 x 20 inches, creating a 160 Sq. in. surface
- 44 Mixed Sized Flexible Surfaces: for walls, jumps, teeter-totters, hoops and more
- 80 Pegs: Multi-functional connectors of mats, surfaces, and sensors
- 2 Sensors: Wireless accelerometer sensors complete the game by adding timers, point scoring, or robot interaction
- 1 Carry-Along Storage Bag
Robotic School Programs love Kinazium!
Kinazium adds three dimensional challenges for robots that engage physics concepts into curriculums. It can be used everyday, engaging kids to invent and create and collaborate. Easy to clean up and put away, and less tape on the floor. Infinitely expandable, a four pack can be used individually or combined to become Kinazium in the Gymnasium!
Kinazium is mazes, obstacles, racetracks and more
Design and Build Place Sensors Play & Compete!
How it works:
Kids design a maze, towers or games like skee-ball, sports games, anything they can imagine. They add in the sensors to complete the game - the sensors can be set to score points, subtract points, be timers or to interact with the robots.
Then the racing, or gamesmanship begins!
Kinazium kits link together making it infinitely expandable. An 'evergreen' toy, it has long engagement playability because every time it comes out of the bag, new games and mazes are invented. We'll create add-on kits to continue to expand the universe of possibilities.
Kids get right on the floor and intuitively start building. Parents and Teachers love that kids are inventing and designing, using their hands and working together to create complex challenges for their robots.

Build Kinazium and Augmented Reality Games
Some robots give you the ability to develop your own games. With open source tools for creating Augmented Reality it's not a big a leap to create games with virtual opponents in your physical kinazium game! In this example we took a 3D animated character, attached her to the target and programed her to disappear if the target disappears, which happens when the robot rolls over the target. Knock out characters and Score! You decide the characters, you make the rules, you determine the scoring. You (and your students) are the creator of amazing robot games!
We've Journeyed from Rapid Prototyping to Fully Tested and Ready to Manufacture
Kinazium has been extensively tested at home, in schools and at events, tuning the product until it is exactly right. We've selected child safe materials with characteristics that unleash the imagination in kids. We've designed the pegs to fit the hands of kids and adults. We've set our supply chains in motion and have received samples for production. Traxart Toys is ready to launch Kinazium! Join us on this exciting journey.
Risks and challenges
We have tested with 100's of kids and now have gotten the ball rolling for manufacturing, and are working through our timeline. No one can be 100% certain that something won't throw us for a minor loop or two, but we are highly confident we will deliver on time. If something does slow us down, we will stay in close contact and keep you informed.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
